As Apple announces its latest doodad, we're reminded that the BBC's Horrible History series last year announced a Roman invention that's a little closer to our hearts.
For what it's worth...
I don't typically like promoting one reading technology over another and would hope that this little video is not used as some sort of argument favoring paper or dissing pixels.

Both make the case that the technology is just the container. The container technology is changing as it brings new ease of access, but let us remember that it's the content, not the container that make books worth reading.
As a reader I have my own preferences regarding the container. But, as a teacher I realize how foolish it might be to discourage and engagement with reading by a student who happens to like accessing his or her literary content from a different container than I might.
