Island Prawn, a shrimp farm with 35, 2.2-hectare ponds, is looking for a Filipino or Indian (based on available visa allocations) hatchery manager for a new shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) hatchery capable of producing 10 million postlarvae (PLs) a month. The position needs to be filled as soon as possible. Contracts in Saudi Arabia are renewed annually. Hatchery managers from countries other than The Philippines and India can be hired for shorter periods on a business visa. Broodstock for the hatchery will arrive in December 2013. Before that, the duties of the new hatchery manager will include setting up the hatchery and maturation facilities. Salary is negotiable, based on skills and experience.
