Project will be managed based on open participatory budgeting and p2p clloaboration principles. We welcome all kinds of technical, logistical, financial, artistic / design, physical labour, and knowledge based contributions, especially from interested local creative communites and cooperatives from Netherlands and Europe that would like to take part in the event.
Design of the event, its content, form, and list of invitees will be open to supporters and collaborators’ suggestions. Sponsors and the registered collaborators will be able to suggest topics and methodology for the design of the seminar. Open Letter to Gezi Forums and networks on the idea of organizing the 3rd Agora99 in Istanbul in 2015
Starting in 2011, the world witnessed a wave of truly transnational and global grass-roots uprisings. In Tunisia, Egypt, Iceland, Greece, Spain, Israel, Chile, the UK, the US, Turkey, Brazil and in many other places people took to the streets to protest against injustice and inequality and for democracy. Struggles that had been ongoing for years gained new visibility and new movements and struggles formed.
These uprisings spread from on place to another ignited by distinct local issues. However, self-organisation, connectivity and horizontality have become characteristics of all of these uprisings: They practice new forms of democratic decision making and do not have leaders. They organize through assemblies, working groups, and convergence spaces and allow mass participation grounded in social networks and online meetings.
Also, transnational and translocal ties that connect groups, movements and individuals on regional, national and international levels have allowed to spread and continue these uprisings, creating networks of dignity across the world. Larger assemblies allowed for self-reflexion and exchange. One of them has been Agora99.

#MapJam 1.0: Fifty cities around the world began mapping their shared resources in October and November in 2013 during Shareable’s first annual global #MapJam. This was just the beginning of the Sharing Cities Network – an ambitious project to create one hundred sharing cities by 2015.
What has been happening in Rojava and at turkey-Syrian border is extremely worrisome and tension is rapidly spreading in Turkey. Things can escalate in Turkish cities, putting nationalists, Kurdish movements, Islamist radicals, and progressives into clashes with each other, leading to the destabilization of the last brick on the wall about to collapse. Yesterday in Istanbul University campus there were IS supporters attacking and chanting radical slogans, being attacked back by left groups. Kobane has been under a very heavy attack by IS and total amount of refugees crossing border (and young and men returns to war zone) has been between 2-3 million people. In southern cities there has been increasing aggression towards new comers. No body seems to know what will bring tomorrow. This sounds pretty much like a Global Shock Doctrine in being implemented.

This project has arrived and is called Fair.Coop, The Earth cooperative for a fair economy.
The initial push to boot this initiative is what we have named “hacking money markets to introduce the virus of cooperation”.
A cryptocurrency, negotiable in an uncontrolled way in decentralized markets around the world can be understood as social capital, in which the number of shares is equal to the total number of created coins.
If we choose it as our founding capital for a cooperative, it means this capital, instead of being accounted in the dominant currency (euro, dollar…) will be in a currency the system can not control, and also, as our cooperative project grows and provides resources and services of proven usefulness, the value of this capital and the entire cryptocurrency will grow accordingly.

While everyone is talking about renewable energy, power generation from small wind turbines is not thriving. The issues that are usually raised have to do with quality, reliability, and the cost of installation. However, self-constructed wind turbine projects are one sector of wind energy that is thriving.
Self-constructed wind turbines offer a real alternative, as they enable local people to build and maintain the technology, which makes all the difference.
Today, 1.4 billion people worldwide have no access to electricity. Nowadays it is a right.
Small wind turbines offer viable and sustainable means for remote communities to manage their own local resources and lift themselves out of poverty.
Wind Empowerment is an association that is active in the development of small, self-constructed wind turbines, originally designed by Hugh Piggott, to enable rural electrification.
I. Constructing an identity of the commons movement
The Hegelian distinction between the thing-in-itself and, the thing-conscious-of-itself turned out the be our starting point. This distinction also applies to (social/political) movements. Hence, there is a need to consciously carve out the core identity of a commons movement (a crucial task before approaching other movements). Given that ECC participants are not the commons movement (see endnote), we can’t simply „declare“ or „construct“ this identity; we can only support its evolution by serving as a platform enabling all parts of the movement to become visible to each other and to the whole.
Respecting diversity is a key principle in the co-construction of a commons-identity (remember: there is no blueprint, nor panacea!). That is, the commons/p2p movement is held together by weak ties among a diversity of actors. The movement is indeed an ecology of different degrees and forms of commitment, sensitivities and ways of approaching the commons. Hence, a core identity of the commons ‘movement’ must be ‘strategically ambiguous enough’ so as to accommodate this enormous variety and to foster the crystallization of the commons.
The proposed privatization of the grand public theater in Rome, Teatro Valle, has been defeated – but perhaps more importantly, the historic three-year occupation of the building has succeeded in achieving many of its primary goals, including the recognition of its demands to establish a new theater commons, after weeks of contentious negotiations.
The struggle was noteworthy because it pitted municipal authorities in Rome, whose austerity policies had resulted in severe cutbacks at the theater, against self-identified commoners who want to run the historic theater in far more open, participatory and innovative ways. At stake was not just the continuance of performances at Teatro Valle, but the governance, management practices, purpose and character of the theater. Shall it be a “public good” managed by the city government, often to the detriment of the public interest, or a commons in which ordinary people can instigate their own ideas and propose their own rules?

#talk – and listen/what to do. Together in workshops, podium discussions and assemblies we want to ask questions that we can answer in collective action: how do we find the cracks in the capitalist cement? How do we guarantee an unconditional welcome to all refugees and migrations? How do we take back our cities, which are selling themselves? How can we find each other so as to live and work with dignity? We will talk about what we must do, what we want to do, to develop alternatives, to bring our struggles together and become stronger.
#dance – grooves and resonances. The festival will bring a different light to many places in the city – spaces of self-managed culture, projects of other ways of living and taking residence, pubs and cafes, theatre, cinema or bookshops. We will met, listen, confuse and explain. We will dance, eavesdrop and be in the squares. A sustainable politics of protest cannot abstain from bringing disorder and confusion to the ruling order.

To be honest #Accelerationist manifesto sounded to me, at first read, like a call for a Kautskian and Plekhanovian politics 2.0. Since it suggests that hunting down of the global networked cognitive capitalism is possible if we lead it into a future trap; Accelerating it till it is broken! Though it sounds excitingly good-crazy idea, I have to say that it has always been hard to accept for me an idea that suggest that to realize something first, if you want to negate and transcend it. Even though political imagery says ‘push it harder towards the cliff.’ It is great and energzing to hear about the anger and hope such clearly formulated, crying that the time is up to get away with this maniacal system. However, I find myself partly sympatyizing with Wark’s strong critics below. I believe that there is another way to the hack capitalist mode of production:
Here is how I would formulate my Hack, as a part of the code, yet to be put in algorithmic form:
“Agreeing with many others who think global working class is currently making it self through ongoing and intensifying struggles, the form of self-organisation of the global working classes, in my mind, needs to be, simultaneously very well grounded, transnational, and global. It also needs to be open to all the working people, so free [gratis and accessible] to enter and leave, designed as modularly integrated organized networks linking workers [including hacker-, academic-, art-, sex-. ... so on workers], social-environmental-cultural-informational-sexual justice activists. Adoptable principles, in form of the ‘code’, which can be pre-determined, as well as the coding process itself needs to be very well documented, totally open and accessible to local, workplace, neighbourhood, issue based, activist or other forms of political collectives. In a way similar to Anonymous, 15M, Occupy, Gezi. or other decentralized forms, but with more structured and open working protocols, as it is in FLOSS projects, or grassroots and worker cooperatives. It should not be including membership, service, representation type logics that leads to reproduction of disempowerment for the involving nodes. It should not be organized by intellectual activists from outside in, and from top down towards the working class. With an opposite perspective, it should be designed by volunteer participation based on self-governing and representation principles. It should be able to put forward creative, assertive and effective direct non-violent mass action, which makes fun of and ridicule the target by allowing the formation of collective intelligence. Therefore active peer-to-peer self-learninig should be the core cultural production and learning principle. Instead of having teachers who must show the right and enlightened road to the candidate working class members, who needs to get a self-consciousness, a global and networked labour union should be providing working people with the access to the tools, resources and key networks that would make self- empowerment easily possible. By linking spaces where continuous open exchanges take place and carry the energy from one space to other. Utilizing How to(s), Do it Yourself and Do it With Others guides, in online and real world context, by FLOSS communication tools as well as mass-action tactics it would replace top down (issue-anger-action) organizing model, which would allow self-articulation, respectful and collaborative working praxis by harmonized through peer-to-peer digital communication where possible and desirable, as well as face to face and secure meetings, cultural and recreational events cultural events. It should be collaborating with other organizations, creative and productive projects that undermines capitalist mode of production and develop the algorithms and codes of alternative modes, as operating systems that could replace capitalism. Such global network needs to grow by linking existing radical networks groups of activists, hackers, organizers, makers, DIY groups, squatters, eco-willages, diggers, immigrants, asylum seekers, solidarity networks, and so on. In a way all nodes could associate with the globally networked ties, while keeping their autonomy. So instead of #Accelerate motto, i would suggest some thing like: “All empower one, one empower all!”

Italian political activist and theorist Antonio Gramsci’s core concepts like hegemony, organic crisis, historic bloc, war of position and war of manoeuvre are central to our understanding of today’s complex global capitalist system as well as the catastrophic changes that are currently taking place in it. Referring to the original concept developed by Gramsci, global political economy theorist Stephen Gill describes the 2008 global financial turmoil as the manifestation of an organic crisis at the global level.  We can also read the outcomes of the global organic crisis following another neo-Gramscian theorist Robert Cox as a mixture of three scenarios he describes. First one is a global (military) Keynesian recovery being pushed by the West. Regional wars moving from the periphery to the centre involving massive destruction of lives, cities and the nature, as we witness it happening since the 9/11. The second scenario is the rise of global fascism in tandem with the regional wars. This has also been happening, especially increasingly in the centre, since 2007; highlighting the race to the bottom caused by the strengthening of totalitarian forms of capitalism at the main contenders like China, Russia and India. Finally and the last scenario is accompanying transnational revolutions, like the uprisings in the northern Africa, Americas and Europe also happening.

We will not wait for the appointments of the rulers – we will set our own agenda. Even if it will be 2015 before the ECB holds its hors d’oeurve event of prominent faces to inaugurate its new tower, Blockupy will be in Frankfurt this fall.
Now, after the “May of Solidarity” across Europe and before the blockade of the ECB inauguration next year, is the right time: we will discuss, we will bring together our struggles and make plans. We will meet to music, with a beer, at a film. And, of course, we will be present in those places where we disrupt normal activities: on the streets, over the fence.
Everyday co-operation is the idea that life is underpinned by instinctive and generally unacknowledged co-operation between individuals: from tacit agreements about letting one another past on pavements or the unconscious decision not to hoard the spoons at work to the reciprocity that allows people to trust one another, lend books to one another, and so on.
Everyday co-operation is an essential part of everyday life. Many of those people studying the ‘science of co-operation’ – an area of study now encompassing evolutionary biology, game theory, economics, sociology, political science and much else besides – tell us that the reason for everyday co-operation is because people are rational and self-interested, and therefore will pursue the strategy that best realises their interests.
