Enrique Ferro's insight:
The other moral of the story is that what happened in Konstantinovka can and will happen elsewhere. The UAF is doing wonderful work of undermining whatever was left of pro-Ukrainian sentiment everywhere it goes in its drunk-driven armored vehicles...

Fort Russ: Ukro-nazi art, or "why do I want to roll into Kiev in a tank"

Fort Russ: Ukro-nazi art, or "why do I want to roll into Kiev in a tank" | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

This guy is pathetic, a pictorial talent copying from classic Dutch, and painting Rembrandt-like scenes as if he were in the 17th century, when did he last visit Russia? He is Russophobic, xenophobic, all right, an ignoble, poor-spirited man. But what art has ever had Ukraine? The only great writer, Gogol, would write in Russian and live in St. Petersburg! This guy's name, Shereshevsky, reminds me their national poet's name, Shevchenko: that was the best they had, actually as xenophobic and narrow-minded as this artist countryman of his. Shevchenko would have been no more than an under-rated provincial poet in any country of Europe, where he is absolutely unknown! And poor Shereshevsky! His paintings, well crafted but lacking any artistic interest in our modern world, will ever find a market in Western Europe, for which he longs so much. Like his country, that nobody in the West, after so much noise, wants to see in the nearby, with no interesting industry or culture or language... What a grim and ironic fate! Westerners, especially Americans, only want from Ukraine their soil for Monsanto and the subsoil for their fracking horror! Ah, and their geopolitics for military bases! But too bad, the place is being liberated by the Novorossians, so too late, buddies!
