Article: Hillary, Hypocrisy, and Healthcare

Article: Hillary, Hypocrisy, and Healthcare | Global politics | Scoop.it
Article: Hillary, Hypocrisy, and Healthcare - In a video from February 2008, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton passionately denounces candidate Barack Obama for criticizing her healthcare plan and daring to 'discredit universal healthcare.'
Enrique Ferro's insight:

"Since when do Democrats attack each other on universal healthcare?!" Clinton exclaims. Check out this video mashup of Clinton'08 and Clinton '16.

She finds Obama's comments to be "Republican talking points," "the worst kind of politics," and "very reminiscent of the health insurance industry's attacks ... the last time we went after universal healthcare."

That "last time" was a reference to the effort Hillary led during Bill Clinton's presidency. We learned later from the late Senator Paul Wellstone that her focus groups were presented with a single-payer plan and supported it above all others, but that Hillary Clinton rejected that approach.

Quicklink: Major Progressive Publication Endorses Bernie Sanders For President - Quicklink:
The Nation has endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the Democratic presidential primary, the first major publication to take a stand in the nominating race. 'He has summoned the people to a “political revolution,” arguing that the changes our country so desperately needs can only happen when we wrest our democracy from the corrupt grip of Wall Street bankers and billionaires,' the publication's editors said. 'We believe such a revolution is not only possible but necessary.' The progressive magazine's nod is the latest in a string of progressive endorsements for Sanders. He also has nabbed support from MoveOn.org, the Working Families Party and Democracy for America.

Two Smoking Guns: FBI on Hillary’s Case  :  Information Clearing House - ICH By Andrew P. Napolitano | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

POETIC JUSTICE:

It is the consensus of many of us who monitor government behavior that the FBI will recommend indictment. That recommendation will go to Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who, given Clinton’s former status in the government and current status in the Democratic Party, will no doubt consult the White House.

If a federal grand jury were to indict Clinton for espionage or corruption, that would be fatal to her political career.

If the FBI recommends indictment and the attorney general declines to do so, expect Saturday Night Massacre-like leaks of draft indictments, whistleblower revelations and litigation, and FBI resignations, led by the fiercely independent and intellectually honest FBI Director James Comey himself.

That would be fatal to Clinton’s political career, as well.

With the outbreak of the Euromaidan in late 2013, the set of protests against the supposedly pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych, came the hopes of ending government corruption, abuse of power and violations of human rights in Ukraine. This was a struggle to bring Ukraine closer to the European Union and away from ‘the grasps of Russia’.

Want a chuckle over what the pro-President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Turkish media has been broadcasting to corroborate the Machiavellian heroism of the downing of a Russian jet?
Enrique Ferro's insight:

LOL LOL LOL HA HA HA

"Russia is a more dangerous threat to the world than the U.S… The U.S. is not chasing after an expansionist policy; rather they are seeking solutions to the havoc daunting the earth whilst Russia is in pursuit of reviving the soviet dream...

"Within 30 years, there will be only two superpowers in the world: China and Turkey. The whole world is conscious of this and in panic to hinder such an occurrence."

How European Media Defends Human Rights - By Concealing Mass Rape

How European Media Defends Human Rights - By Concealing Mass Rape | Global politics | Scoop.it
For five days following the assaults the German media failed to report them. When under public pressure they eventually did, it turned out that a string of similar assaults had also happened simultaneously in various other German cities.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Though the fact is little known in the West, Russia is the world's second biggest destination for immigrants after the US.

The Russian media have openly debated this issue, and the social tensions this wave of immigration is causing.

It featured strongly in the Moscow mayoral elections of 2013, and the Russian media has never balked at reporting about criminal activity, whether by immigrants or against them.

That is as it should be. In a democratic society the media is under a duty to report about such things.

Certainly it should not suppress information about mass organized criminal activity simply because it is politically embarrassing.

Putin Schools Top German Journalist Who Smeared Him (Video)

Putin Schools Top German Journalist Who Smeared Him (Video) | Global politics | Scoop.it
This is taken from a recent Putin interview with the BILD newspaper, the biggest in Germany.  BILD, which has close ties to the CIA, and actually has written into its charter that it is required to support NATO, has been one of the most hysterically Russophobic German publications for decades now, and since the Ukraine war started, it has been off the charts.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

BILD's Editor in Chief, Nicholas Blome, the guy on the right, is a real piece of work.  He is one of the top 5 German professional NATO ass-kissers who run the top German media outlets.

Before this stint at BILD he ran Der Spiegel's (Germany's largest and hugely influential news weekly) Berlin Bureau, where he was responsible for the notorious Spiegel cover about the downing of MH17, which ran the headline: "Stop Putin Now!" with potraits of the crash victims.

That Putin will even sit down and talk politely to this moron demonstrates extraordinary self restraint, because what he really deserves is presidential knuckle sandwich.
