Enrique Ferro's insight:

Jean Flinker

And free! Just compare with those oppressed women the Saudi-funded Wahhabis want to impose in Syria?

Enrique Ferro's insight:

We failed to notice that our runaway infatuation with the sleek toys produced by the likes of Apple and Samsung – allied to our apparently insatiable appetite for Facebook, Google and other companies that provide us with "free" services in exchange for the intimate details of our daily lives – might well turn out to be as powerful a narcotic as soma was for the inhabitants of Brave New World.

Let’s Make a Deal

Let’s Make a Deal | Global politics | Scoop.it
In the long run, the deal Secretary of State John Kerry is trying to forge with Iran is good for us and our allies. Here are the reasons.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

" I attended a Gulf security conference here in Abu Dhabi that included officials and experts from all over the Arab/Muslim world. In the opening session, Shimon Peres, Israel’s president, flanked by the white and blue Israeli flag, gave an address by satellite from his office in Jerusalem. Good for the United Arab Emirates, the conference sponsor, for making that happen."

"Never have I seen Israel and America’s core Arab allies working more in concert to stymie a major foreign policy initiative of a sitting U.S. president, and never have I seen more lawmakers — Democrats and Republicans — more willing to take Israel’s side against their own president’s. I’m certain this comes less from any careful consideration of the facts and more from a growing tendency by many American lawmakers to do whatever the Israel lobby asks them to do in order to garner Jewish votes and campaign donations." Should the Saudi 'Edmond' - Bandar, the bastard of Sultan bin AbdulAziz - pull it off i.e.  manage to sabotage a deal with Iran with the active help and assistance of the Zionist firm the un-intended consequences will be overwhelming. The collapse of credibility in the competence of Obama Administration will reverberate around the world. The mid term elections in 2014 can be catalysmic leading to the impeachment of the President. In Middle East the borders Sykes-Picot drew will be obliterated.  Syria, Lebanon, Jordan disappearing and new statelets taking their place under the protection of Israel. But what of Saudi Arabia? The Sunni bloodlust of fanaticism now raging from the banks of Sind in the east to the river Niger in the west. Who will control or suppress it? Only  Allah knows.  In Peace.   Qavi

Beirut Bombs Are Much More than Syria War Spillover

Enrique Ferro's insight:

This week’s embassy attack in Beirut significantly marks the point where Salafists/takfiris who have proliferated since 2003 now directly and simultaneously attack targets in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. It should clarify, for those who were not aware, that these vicious criminals are at war with everyone in the Middle East—Arabs, Iranians, Sunnis, Shiites, Israelis, Americans…you name it, they hate it and will bomb it.
