Obama claims Russian airstrikes ‘strengthening ISIS’

Obama claims Russian airstrikes ‘strengthening ISIS’ | Global politics | Scoop.it
The US president has slammed Russian airstrikes against Islamic State in Syria, going as far as to accuse Moscow of making ISIS stronger by decapacitating the “moderate folks,” prepared by Washington to stitch the country back together once Syria falls.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Obama is "fiercely harsh" because his game has been exposed and Putin has called his bluff. Obama's strategy was to reinforce ISIS by making elieve that he was bombing them while they advanced and took more Syrian territory, with the help on the ground of the US-supported terrorists. The US & Co weren't actually bombing Daesh, but sending them weapons and logistic information. Now Putin means business and the Americans and their clients are naked, he is expectedly furious. His European clients are out of the game, they don't actually know what to say, except parrotting the US disinformation war. Syria will not turn into a catastrophic Libya thanks to the Russian initiative, whatever the US comic operatic president and his fools say.

The Pentagon is considering defending 'moderate' Syrian terrorists from Russia

The Pentagon is considering defending 'moderate' Syrian terrorists from Russia | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

U.S. officials told the agency that high-ranking military leaders and Pentagonare researching the legal and foreign policy aspects of the issue [damn Russia tricked them into remembering about the law! - KR] and weigh the risks of using military force in response to the possible actions of the Russian air force on the backed by Washington Syrian opposition groups. The U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter declined to answer this question, when asked directly about it earlier this week, the agency said.

Syria - Ukraine: What's the Difference?

Syria - Ukraine: What's the Difference? | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

In Syria it would be worse than in Libya. The Wahhabis in Libya destroyed Sufi shrines and persecuted Black Africans, but in Syria millions of people would be cleansed, as all minorities, Allawis, Druzes, Shi'ites, Christians... would be compelled to flee, to Europe, and then the different Takfiri branches would continue like in Libya their internecine war.

Senator Tom Cotton: US should shoot down Russian planes over Syria (video)

Senator Tom Cotton: US should shoot down Russian planes over Syria (video) | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Another madman, after McCain and Hillary Clinton (although these two suggested  the US should give the necessary equipment to that end to al Qaeda and Daesh). The problem with US politicians is tat they indulge into saying anything thinking they are winning popularity, like this younger maniac I think.

M of A - Russia's Campaign To Snuff Off The CIA's Al-Qaeda Forces

Enrique Ferro's insight:

The Syrian army will soon attack in coordination with the Russian air force and will try to regain northern territory along the M4 and M5 highway. That again would allow for a wider attack up to the Turkish border. Ground troop reinforcements from Iran, Iraq and Hizbullah are on their way or have already arrived. We are witnessing the build up to a wider battle.

Is Putin Right?  :    Information Clearing House - ICH By Joseph Clifford

Enrique Ferro's insight:

At the same time the US ordered the Iraqi army of 400,000 to disband, so they too went home with their military weapons, but unemployed and with no government in existence. The entire infrastructure of the nation had been destroyed by US bombs, then we tore down the government, dissolved the army and law, and threw everyone into the streets with guns but no jobs, and no one to maintain order. Gee I wonder what would happen?? No one could have planned a better way to insure anarchy. Give us credit; if anarchy was the goal, we planned and executed it to perfection. Do you really believe the architects of US foreign policy are that stupid? This was done by design.

Article: A Syria/Berliner ensemble

Article: A Syria/Berliner ensemble | Global politics | Scoop.it
Imagine the EU eventually supporting Russia in Syria -- if there is clear, substantial progress on the ground -- and on top of it relaxing or ending those painfully counter-productive Ukraine-related sanctions; cue to inter-galactic fear and loathing trespassing the neocon, neoliberal, "humanitarian" imperialist combo.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Everyone who knows anything about the "Syraq" theatre knows there are no "moderate rebels." And now Moscow is showing how you fight the whole Wahhabi/Salafi-jihadi matrix; a mix of drones, sigint aircraft, and on the ground intel (of which the coalition of dodgy opportunists is sorely deprived.) It's progressive -- starting near the urban areas in the east and moving to the western desert. And it will be relentless, to include direct ground support to the Syrian Arab Army when the "recapturing of territory" phase picks up, side-by-side with aerial support. You are leaving the American sector.

Expect the information war, from now on, to be absolutely vicious. The neocon, neoliberalcon, "humanitarian" imperialist galaxy will be madly trying to sell global public opinion a monster "dreaming collective"; as in Russia is "evil" because they bomb "our" rebels and -- horror of horrors -- kill civilians! We would never commit such unspeakable acts!

Indeed, the coalition dropped bombs to the desert sands, and sometimes "by mistake", weapons... As a matter of fact, the "coalition" air force was instrumental for ISIS to advance. But now Russia means business.

This woman is insane, and bloodthirsty. She was behind the destruction of Libya, and laughed after the barbarous murder of Gadhafi, and nows she wants to repeat her madness with a vengeance. So she joins McCain, and so far another madman from the Senate, who is demanding that the US down the Russian planes, on behalf of ISIS and an-Nusra (al Qaida)!

Hillary Offers Syria a Libyan-Iraqi-Style Paradise:    Information Clearing House - ICH By David Swanson

Enrique Ferro's insight:

The United States military wants to dominate the earth, has "special" forces active in 135 countries, and has troops stationed in some 180 countries. On a map of the world showing nations with no U.S. troops in them, Syria and Iran stand out like sore thumbs, as once-upon-a-time did Iraq and Libya. Syria not only has no U.S. troops; it has Russian troops, and it's friendly toward Iran, which has no U.S. troops. Overthrowing the Syrian government, like Iraq's and Libya's and Iran's, has been on the Pentagon's bucket list for the 21st century. As early as 2006, the U.S. government had people on the ground in Syria working to overthrow the government. With the 2011 Arab Spring, the U.S. thought it saw an opportunity, and helped turn the protests violent.

John McCain Wants to Shoot Down Russian Planes  :    Information Clearing House - ICH

Enrique Ferro's insight:

Sen. John McCain has a personal stake in the ISIS and al-Qaeda members currently being targeted by Russian fighter planes. It was just two years ago that McCain found himself in the embarrassing position of having to explain his sleepover with a group of ISIS-affiliated terrorists in Syria. He has repeatedly called for more direct US military involvement to overthrow the Syrian government. Repeated stories of the failures of the US rebel training program have only steeled his resolve. Facts must not get in the way of McCain’s regime change plans for Syria.

What would Fox News (and the rest of the US media) do if a Russian Senator went on Russian television to publicly call for the Russians to help Assad shoot down American military aircraft over Syria?
