VIDEO: Clintons campaign at polling place — in violation of NY law? | Global politics | Scoop.it
It pays to have Clinton Privilege. New York election regulators seem to be looking the other way today as Bill and Hillary Clinton campaigned outside their polling location this morning. Video published by Reuters shows the Clintons posing for photos inside their precinct, as well as 'greeting voters' outside the door. Campaign signs and stickers are clearly visible. According to a portion of the statute posted by NYPIRG, the Clintons appear to be violating state election laws. NY Election Law on electioneering: While the polls are open no person shall do any electioneering within the polling place, or in any

The Democratic Party's two Hillary Clintons

The Democratic Party's two Hillary Clintons | Global politics | Scoop.it
Millennials see Hillary Clinton through a radically different lens than older Democrats do. It is the stark difference between distrust and admiration.
Enrique Ferro's insight:
Sanders and his supporters now begun to use the term “racist” to describe her use of the term “superpredator” back when she supported her husband’s 1994 crime bill. The law is now a symbol of a criminal justice system that has imprisoned a disproportionate number of black and Latino men and made the United States the world leader in incarcerating its citizens.

Article: Hillary Destroyed Gaddafi & Libya's Free Health Care & Education that Sanders Wants For USA | Global politics | Scoop.it
Article: Hillary Destroyed Gaddafi & Libya's Free Health Care & Education that Sanders Wants For USA - It would seem Sanders fighting for Americans to have free health care and free education would have tempered his words about a Gaddafi who saw to his people receiving for many years what Bernie wants for Americas. For her official role in crimes against humanity in Libya, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, being relatively still young, has an excellent chance of being indicted for crimes against humanity and genocide.

Article: A World War Has Begun. Break the Silence. - In 1947, a series of National Security Council directives described the paramount aim of American foreign policy as 'a world substantially made over in [America's] own image.' The ideology was messianic Americanism. We were all Americans. Or else. Heretics would be converted, subverted, bribed, smeared or crushed.

NY Times Editorial: Mrs. Clinton, Show Voters Those Transcripts

NY Times Editorial: Mrs. Clinton, Show Voters Those Transcripts | Global politics | Scoop.it
Quicklink: NY Times Editorial: Mrs. Clinton, Show Voters Those Transcripts - Quicklink:
Last week's hard-hitting NY Times opinion piece criticizing Clinton was picked up by the Washington Post: “Everybody does it,” is an excuse expected from a mischievous child, not a presidential candidate. But that is Hillary Clinton’s latest defense for making closed-door, richly paid speeches to big banks, which many middle-class Americans still blame for their economic pain, and then refusing to release the transcripts...Public interest in these speeches is legitimate, and it is the public — not the candidate — who decides howmuch disclosure is enough. By stonewalling on these transcripts Mrs. Clinton plays into the hands of those who say she’s not trustworthy and makes her own rules. Most important, she is damaging her credibility among Democrats who are begging her to show them that she’d run an accountable and transparent White House.

Article: MEET HILLARY'S CAMPAIGN CHAIR: 'Moneyman' John Podesta and his Revolving Door - Hillary vowed recently to end the revolving door, but her campaign chairman John Podesta and his think tank Center for American Progress is a prime example. But Podesta also is one of DC's biggest PAC bundlers, and his family is being enriched by major lobbying contracts with the biggest national and international mega-corporations including fossil fuel producers and including a Panama Papers-related bank from Russia.

Democrats March Toward Cliff

Democrats March Toward Cliff | Global politics | Scoop.it
As Democratic-insider “super-delegates” give Hillary Clinton a seemingly insurmountable lead for the presidential nomination, the former Secretary of State’s negative ratings continue to soar to stunning levels, hitting a net 24-point unfavorable in the new NBC-Wall Street Journal poll.
Enrique Ferro's insight:
But a major difference between Trump and Clinton in the latest poll is that Trump’s numbers haven’t moved much while Clinton’s net-negative has almost doubled in the last month. In other words, the more Americans get to see of Clinton the more they don’t want her. While Clinton’s dismal approval ratings haven’t seemed to have shaken the Democratic establishment, which continues to line up behind her long-anticipated coronation, some outside analysts see the party leaders blindly marching toward a cliff.

Article: Devil in the Details: Poll Results Clinton Does NOT Want You to See | Global politics | Scoop.it
Article: Devil in the Details: Poll Results Clinton Does NOT Want You to See - The more interesting aspect of that poll was how unpopular it showed Clinton to be. This is the other facet of the secret hiding in full sight -- not only does she not poll as well as Sanders against the Republicans, but people flat out don't like her. And we see this nationwide. So we have to congratulate the Clinton people for maintaining the widely-held perception that this unloved candidate is the best option the Dems have.

Article: Hillary Victory Fund: $2 million for downballot Dems, $22 million for Hillary

Article: Hillary Victory Fund: $2 million for downballot Dems, $22 million for Hillary - Politico has an interesting report, especially in light of the constant refrain that Hillary has raised 10s of millions for downballot Dems while Bernie is all about himself.

First of all, this 'Victory Fund' is usefully structured as a cozy 'joint fundraising committee', letting it skirt like a ballerina around otherwise onerous campaign finance laws:
Enrique Ferro's insight:
So that's $9.5 million to Hillary's campaign, $12.2 million for what is effectively Hillary marketing and campaign expenses, $3.5 million to DWS's absolutely, definitely neutral DNC, and " drumroll please " two. million. dollars for downballot candidates. Divided evenly between the 32 state party committees who are part of the fund, that's a gate-storming $62,500 for each state party committee from the Hillary Victory Fund. Versus a paltry $22 million given to or effectively spent on Hillary's campaign.

Article: Is Hillary Clinton Above the Law?

Article: Is Hillary Clinton Above the Law? | Global politics | Scoop.it
Article: Is Hillary Clinton Above the Law? - Secretary of State Clinton was harsh on subordinates who were careless with classified information, but those rules apparently weren't for her, a troubling double standard, says ex-CIA analyst Ray McGovern.
Enrique Ferro's insight:
In December 2011, when then-Secretary of State Clinton was busy denouncing Pvt. Bradley (now Chelsea) Manning for leaking evidence of U.S. government wrongdoing, Clinton declared: "I think that in an age where so much information is flying through cyberspace, we all have to be aware of the fact that some information which is sensitive, which does affect the security of individuals and relationships, deserves to be protected and we will continue to take necessary steps to do so." For leaking mostly low-level classified information to the public so the people could know about illegal or questionable acts by the government -- none of the data top secret, the level that some Clinton emails have now been stamped -- Manning was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
