Chechen leader blames US & Western intel for Islamic State terrorists

Chechen leader blames US & Western intel for Islamic State terrorists | Global politics | Scoop.it
Ramzan Kadyrov has accused the US and other Western nations of “spawning” the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group in order to incite hatred towards Muslims all over the world.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Prior to this the Chechen leader had told reporters that he possessed information that the IS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, had been recruited to work for the US personally by General David Petraeus, the former director of the CIA, and former commander of coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. At that time, Kadyrov claimed the Islamic State “was acting on orders from the West and Europe.”

Sending weapons to Ukraine would escalate violence – UK Defence Secretary

Sending weapons to Ukraine would escalate violence – UK Defence Secretary | Global politics | Scoop.it
British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said on Friday that supplying weapons to Ukraine, an option under consideration in Washington, would escalate the ongoing conflict.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

"territory taken by rebels since the Minsk agreement" cost rivers of blood, and the attack was an aggression from Kiev, who violated the Minsk agreement, because they wanted to take the Donetsk airport, which had been granted to the rebels but that Kiev never complied. So now the ceasefire if any will have to declared on the existing frontlines and not on any obsolete lines, whatever this minister says.

Russian journalists including RT crew come under fire in eastern Ukraine

Russian journalists including RT crew come under fire in eastern Ukraine | Global politics | Scoop.it
Russian journalists from the ‘Rossiya’ TV channel and RT have come under fire near Debaltsevo in the Donetsk region. They were reporting on the evacuation of civilians from the conflict zone.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

This is how the Ukrainian Nazis respect their cease-fires, even when it is to evacuate civilians. I wonder what is talked about in Moscow, but the Resistance in Donbas will have to be very cautious before being cheated again.

ISIS claims US hostage killed in Jordanian airstrike

ISIS claims US hostage killed in Jordanian airstrike | Global politics | Scoop.it
The Islamic State group released a statement on Friday saying a female American hostage held by the group was killed in a Jordanian airstrike in Raqqa, Syria. The claim was made through a media account linked to the group.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

So you go to help people and care for children and you are kidnap and kept a prisoner under threat of death... I feel really so sorry for all these good-hearted people who responded to a humanitarian cause, and they were mistreated and murdered. Perhaps they believed the media propaganda against the Syrian Republic and its president, perhaps they were just naif. But then what on Earth are these young people doing down there? Now they all should know, don't expect to be thanked. Many down there hate any stranger. Sad to say: keep afar!

Fort Russ: "We are facing a total war"--Hollande

Fort Russ: "We are facing a total war"--Hollande | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Europe is seriously alarmed. This was evident at the press conference where Hollande suddenly realized that “every day there are men, women, civilians dying on the eastern borders of Europe.” He also said that both France and Germany have a “special responsibility” because both are closely tied to Russia and Ukraine. In other words, the Europeans suddenly realized that America is far away but they are close, and that the “total war” will hit their part of the “Western World” the hardest. One can’t say that they did not understand this before, but were always hoping that Russia would retreat at the last moment. However, it is now finally clear that Russia will not retreat. While Moscow is trying to put out the fire of war, it will not be intimidated by the prospect of it becomes large-scale.

Fort Russ: "When will they understand in the Kremlin that they will have to fight?"--Strelkov

Fort Russ: "When will they understand in the Kremlin that they will have to fight?"--Strelkov | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Even though Strelkov seems oblivious to it, Russia's behavior is exactly the same as when facing Napoleon and Hitler: fight only when absolutely necessary, as the last resort, and using the lowest level of force needed to do the job, while at the same time husbanding resources for the ultimate trial of strength, should one become necessary. These three principles certainly characterized the solitary Soviet effort against the Axis in the Spanish Civil War and the Japanese invasion of China in the late 1930s. There is no reason why Russia ought to behave otherwise right now, especially since the Western coalition arrayed against it is showing signs of disarray, whereas a precipitate Russian action might resolidify it.

Perpetual ISIS ‘revolution’? Terror group ‘to expand to neighboring states’

Perpetual ISIS ‘revolution’? Terror group ‘to expand to neighboring states’ | Global politics | Scoop.it
The Islamic State is not willing to remain within its current ‘borders’ in Syria and Iraq and will inevitable spread to neighboring countries such as Turkey and Jordan, Middle East expert, Firat Demir, told RT.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

They [Islamic State] are not after any single nation state, they are expansionist. So in terms of their borders, there is a reason why they call themselves Islamic State – their ambitions are much bigger. The Royal Family in Jordan is already in an existing trap and vice versa. I don’t see how they can remain within the existing borders without escalating it further to the neighboring states, into Turkey, into Jordan… which they don’t see as Muslim states anyways. For them these are infidel regimes that are allied with the US

Troika Trojan horse: Will Syriza capitulate in Greece?

Troika Trojan horse: Will Syriza capitulate in Greece? | Global politics | Scoop.it
The 2015 Greek tragedy is a sorry (financial) remix of the Trojan War. But now the troika (ECB, EC, IMF) has replaced Greece, and Greece is the new Troy.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

The troika sold Greece an economic racket, but it’s the Greek people that are paying the price. Essentially, Greece’s public debt went from private to public hands when the ECB and the IMF ‘rescued’ private (German, French, Spanish) banks. The debt, of course, ballooned. The troika intervened, not to save Greece, but to save private banking.

The ECB bought public debt from private banks for a fortune, because the ECB could not buy public debt directly from the Greek state. The icing on this layer cake is that private banks had found the cash to buy Greece’s public debt exactly from…the ECB, profiting from ultra-friendly interest rates. This is outright theft. And it's the thieves that have been setting the rules of the game all along.

'Bloodstain on Shell’s name’: Oil giant to use ship named after Nazi war criminal

'Bloodstain on Shell’s name’: Oil giant to use ship named after Nazi war criminal | Global politics | Scoop.it
Royal Dutch Shell’s decision to plough ahead with plans to host a ship named after a Nazi war criminal in UK waters has provoked outrage and despair among Jewish communities and Holocaust memorial groups.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Hold and behold! After Nurenberg's dust was settled, Nazi war criminals were honoured in the West because they were their best allies against the Soviet Union. And they made a lot of money, so that their children can construct ships! The policy has found its continuation against Russia, which is why the West supports the Bandera Nazis in Ukraine.

‘Death to ISIS’: Thousands march in Jordan calling to avenge pilot’s slaughter

‘Death to ISIS’: Thousands march in Jordan calling to avenge pilot’s slaughter | Global politics | Scoop.it
Thousands of Jordanians marched through the streets of Amman on Friday, joined by Queen Rania, calling on King Abdullah II to exact revenge on Islamic State in return for the killing of pilot Mouath al-Kasaesbeh.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Jordan made a mistake: it provided training to the US-supported rebels. Now they have transformed into Daesh and are revealing the most bestial behaviour of any Religious-based organization in the world (parallel to the other Nigerian bestial militants). Yet even before they joined IS they were already doing it, under whatever denomination, on the Syrian soldiers and people, even encouraged and cheered, weaponized and paid, by the US, and partially by Jordan. Jordan now can unmake its mistake and help erradicate the beast.

Putin meets Merkel, Hollande behind closed doors in Moscow

Putin meets Merkel, Hollande behind closed doors in Moscow | Global politics | Scoop.it
French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in Moscow on Friday evening. They headed straight to the Kremlin for talks on the Ukrainian crisis with President Vladimir Putin behind closed doors.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Apparently the European leaders are coming back to their senses, as they refuse to arm the Kiev junta and profess their faith in diplomacy and a political solution, instead of keeping blaming Russia and supporting inconditionally the Ukrainian Fascists, as well as acknowledging that the interests of the Donbass people have to be addressed. For the moment only the revanchist insane Polish and Baltic politicians are conspiring for an all-out war (in spite of having their economies absolutely tied to Russia!), along with the lunatic Republican Congressmen in the US.

Enrique Ferro's insight:

Federal trends were expressed at the Severodonetsk Congress in 2004, where a decision was made to hold a referendum in Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts on the issue of gaining the status of autonomous republics. Such attempts to reorganize the state were declared as criminal by the Kiev authorities. Popular protest resulted in the creation of a political movement "Donetsk Republic". The people of Donbass finally confirmed their choice at the referendum of 2014.
