Russian customs strengthens controls on Turkish imports; Turkish companies suffer massive losses daily

Russian customs strengthens controls on Turkish imports; Turkish companies suffer massive losses daily | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Erdogan will face public anger. And he's advised to watch his back, his worst enemy is not Putin or the Russians, but his people and his military, which may end up realising that as custodian of the Kemalist revolution, the Erdogan family has gone too far in his islamization. Egypt provides an example, and the purge he made in the army may not save him.

Israeli Colonel Caught with IS Pants Down | New Eastern Outlook | Global politics | Scoop.it
This was definitely not supposed to happen. It seems that an Israeli military man with the rank of colonel was “caught with IS pants down.” By that I mean he was captured amid a gaggle of so-called IS–or Islamic State or ISIS or DAESH depending on your…

Meet The Man Who Funds ISIS: Bilal Erdogan, The Son Of Turkey's President | Zero Hedge | Global politics | Scoop.it
While we patiently dig to find who the on and offshore "commodity trading" middleman are, who cart away ISIS oil to European and other international markets in exchange for hundreds of millions of dollars, one name keeps popping up as the primary culprit of regional demand for the Islamic State's "terrorist oil" - that of Turkish president Recep Erdogan's son: Bilal Erdogan.

Russia destroys Turkish truck convoy headed for Syrian militants -- Erdogan silent

Russia destroys Turkish truck convoy headed for Syrian militants -- Erdogan silent | Global politics | Scoop.it
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Thus Russia continues wiping out all objectives near the Turkish border, utterly ignoring the interests of Turkey (previously observed). It can now be affirmed that Turkey no longer is getting cheap oil, the militants can't get normal supplies, and border crossings by Turkish vehicles will be stopped by strikes from the Russian Air Force.

Enrique Ferro's insight:

“Initially,  when we signed the Minsk agreements, we were confident that Ukraine would not observe them...Therefore we are ready for any aggression and I want to assure the residents of the republic that if Ukraine decides to unleash hostilities, then the line of demarcation will be where we put it. “

Impacts of Turkey's Aggression against Russia. The "Turkish Stream" is Dead. Disruption of Gas Pipeline Routes to the EU. Russia's Economy in Crisis?

Impacts of Turkey's Aggression against Russia. The "Turkish Stream" is Dead. Disruption of Gas Pipeline Routes to the EU. Russia's Economy in Crisis? | Global politics | Scoop.it
In January following the abandonment of the South Stream, the Turkish Stream was announced as the “sole route”. Today, the Turkish Stream (sponsored by Moscow) is in jeopardy.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

It turns out all the southern streams get sabotaged one way or the other by Washington's conspiracy, so perhaps the Yamal pipeline should be reinforced. At least it gets down to Poland, and the Poles for all their Russophobia may find it inresting to proceed to the rest of the EU ... if they don't leave before!

Has Turkey Become a Fascist State? | New Eastern Outlook

Has Turkey Become a Fascist State? | New Eastern Outlook | Global politics | Scoop.it
Seventy years after the defeat of Nazi Germany, fascism has reemerged with a vengeance. This resurgence can be seen all over Europe and the former Soviet bloc, perhaps most notably in Ukraine where Nazism masquerading as nationalist patriotism has effectively…

Eric Draitser
As a reminder, I wrote this piece a few months ago...it is very relevant considering that Erdogan is going all the way with the repression of journalists, including Can Dundar of the Cumhuriyet. Some people said I was exaggerating at the time. Perhaps in the wake of the Turkish downing of the Russian jet, people will realize the extent of Erdogan's fiendishness...
