Enrique Ferro's insight:

Между тем официальный представитель Госдепа Джен Псаки заявила, что американские санкции против России будут оставаться в силе, пока Крым не вернётся в состав Украины, напоминает Forbes.

‘Hostile to privacy’: Snowden urges internet users to get rid of Dropbox

‘Hostile to privacy’: Snowden urges internet users to get rid of Dropbox | Global politics | Scoop.it
Edward Snowden has hit out at Dropbox and other services he says are “hostile to privacy,” urging web users to abandon unencrypted communication and adjust privacy settings to prevent governments from spying on them in increasingly intrusive ways.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

In particular, Snowden advised web users to “get rid” of Dropbox. Such services only insist on encrypting user data during transfer and when being stored on the servers. Other services he recommends instead, such as SpiderOak, encrypt information while it’s on your computer as well.

“We're talking about dropping programs that are hostile to privacy,” Snowden said.

The same goes for social networks such as Facebook and Google, too. Snowden says they are“dangerous” and proposes that people use other services that allow for encrypted messages to be sent, such as RedPhone or SilentCircle.

May 9 boycott calls defile Russian dead, shame American survivors

May 9 boycott calls defile Russian dead, shame American survivors | Global politics | Scoop.it
For the last 14 months the world has witnessed an international relations debacle the likes of which no history book has yet recorded. The latest relations ruination tale unveils three more US ambassadors to Ukraine bereft of their senses.
Enrique Ferro's insight:

Yankee rustics... May 9 has always been the most important day in post-war Soviet and Russian history, it was and is celebrated in every single city in the SU and Russia, until the pro-Nazi and revanchist quislings took over in the Baltic states and Ukraine. But the spirit lives on in Russia. It is a holiday, a day  of joy for everyone, although in Moscow it acquires a special  solemnity. I don't understand the efforts of these cowboys, their show of philistinism and ignorance, why substitute Kiev for Moscow? Why Kiev? Why not Piter (the heroic city of Leningrad)? Or Volgograd (former Stalingrad)? Or Brest? Or Sebastopol? There are so many places in the former Soviet Union which could share the honours... Is it perhaps because what they want to celebrate is the Ukrainian SS of Bandera & Co.? Because of all places, it was a part of Ukrainians, the spiritual fathers of those in power  nowadays, who excelled in collaborating with Hitler, and exterminating fellow Ukrainians, Russians, Jews, Poles... It is absolutely shameful that such people lack the decorum to remain quiet, before offending against decency and insulting the victims of the joint SS Ukrainian and German executioners.
