1. What occurs at terrorists? We will call them quite so because we cannot take and call ISIS all resisting to Assad. There at least, three components: 1) Al-Nusra, successors of Al-Qaeda. The smallest group. 2) Free Syrian army if it is short — the Sunni Syrians who ran away from Assad's army. Deserters, generally,…
And this is the paradox of American/NATO propaganda: in the name of democracy, crush the Syrian republic, which happend to recognize the equality of gender rights, and guarantees the protection of religious and ethnic minorities, and support the Jihadist seizure of power and the subsequent ethnic and religious cleansing... And they still attempt to sell to the European and American public their tantrums against the Russian force which is helping the legitimate Syrian government!
According to him, the problem is not in the personalities representing the regime in Kiev, but in the algorithm of actions of the current ruling elite that seized power in an armed coup and in total manipulation of public opinion. For them, real peace means a social explosion and an armed uprising, since it will be impossible to explain to the Ukrainian society why thousands of people have been killed, tens of thousands maimed and the country's economy destroyed.
“Without the analysis of their actions the Ukrainian authorities will not understand why the population voted against the Ukrainian state. We can continue to lose the territory. A human being is given brains in order to think and not to shout slogans", - concluded the expert.
He pointed out that Russia has managed to take the Crimea without a single shot, because the population of the peninsula was loyal to Moscow and not to Kiev, which did not want to listen to the Crimeans.
“We can no longer tolerate the state of affairs in the world.” President Vladimir Putin
Last Wednesday (28 Sept 2015) the world saw the difference between Russia and Washington. Putin’s approach is truth-based; Obama’s is vain boasts and lies, and Obama is running out of lies.
By telling the truth at a time of universal deceit, Putin committed a revolutionary act. Referring to the slaughter, destruction, and chaos that Washington has brought to the Middle East, North Africa, and Ukraine, and the extreme jihadist forces that have been unleashed, Putin asked Washington: “Do you realize what you have done?”
Putin’s question reminds me of the question Joseph Welch asked witch-hunting Senator Joseph McCarthy: “Have you no sense of decency?” Welch’s question is attributed with initiating the decline of McCarthy’s career.
Perhaps Putin’s question will have the same impact and bring the reign of “American Exceptionalism” to an end.
If so, Putin has launched a revolution that will overthrow the world’s subservience to Washington.
Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney said Wednesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin had “outperformed” President Barack Obama in the fight against the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria.
By way of excuse for what President Obama called "a tragic incident," (and The UN called a 'war crime') US officials have claimed that the Taliban were fighting from within the Kabul hospital (which was destroyed by a US air strike yesterday killing at least 19 including 3 children) using aid workers as "a human shield." However, this justification for the 'collateral damage' has been vehemently denied by Medecins Sans Frontier (MSF) who have issued a statement dismissing the US claims, "the gates of the hospital compound were closed all night so no one that is not staff, a patient or a caretaker was inside the hospital when the bombing happened..." but, the US strike has done one thing, as one local health official concluded, "this city is no longer for the living."
In a statement, President Barack Obama offered condolences to the victims of what he called "the tragic incident" where as we detailed previously, the aid group MSF has said an air strike, probably carried out by U.S.-led coalition forces, killed 19 staff and patients on Saturday in a hospital it runs in Kunduz, leaving 37 wounded. The 'reason' offered by US officials, as Reuters reports,
The reason Putin will succeed where the US failed in its war on ISIS, is because the Russian air-strikes are going to be accompanied by a formidable mop-up operation that will overpower the jihadi groups on the ground. This is already happening as we speak. The Russian Air Force has been pounding terrorist targets across the Idlib Governorate for the last few days as well as ISIS strongholds in the East at Raffa. On Sunday, according to a report filed by South Front, roughly 700 militants surrendered to members of the 147th Syrian tank brigade shortly after bombers had attacked nearly cities of Mardeij, Ma’arat Al-Nu’man, Jisr Al-Shughour, Saraqib and Sarmeen. This is the pattern we expect to see in the weeks ahead. Russian bombers will soften targets on the frontlines, ground troops will move into position, and untold numbers of jihadis will either flee, surrender or get cut down where they stand. Bottom line: Syria is not going to be a quagmire as the media has predicted. To the contrary, Putin is going to cut through these guys like crap through a goose.
When the US and its allies themselves carried out military operations against ISIL, the spiritual leaders of Saudi Arabia were silent!
But as soon as Russia started a real fight against this terrorist organization, all of a sudden more than fifty Saudi religious figures (many of which, by the way, are in opposition even to the authorities of their own country) called upon Arab States to support the Jihad against the Syrian authorities, and the presence of Russia and Iran.
Russian military rightly judged that to chase for single soldiers with guns, as does the coalition aviation, is stupid and pointless. Another tactics was chosen - find a "weak spot" of the army of the "Islamic state". As with any army that has the features of organized regular forces, the main role is played by the infrastructure, on which depends the supply, intelligence, communication and control (they are, incidentally are at a very high level in the army of the "Islamic state").
That's why the first strikes were targeted at the control bunkers, depots of weapons, the spots of contact.
Enrique Ferro's insight:
The main objective of the "coalition" by focusing on Iraq and even enjoying some success there, was designed to push ISIS into Syria, and not to destroy them. This explains that after a year ISIS has taken more territory in Syria while losing positions in Iraq. Indeed they understood that to avoid the coalition bombings the best was for them to shift the fronts to Syria, overrunning the Syrian army on the defense.
Keeping the drug production and traffic must be important for the high command, hence the subreptitious Taliban helping. And then keeping the war going is also interesting for the military-industrial complex, it means more profit. American wars have a weird logic, they aren't fought for any "rational" scope, just to satisfy the Washington lobbies' greed, especially the "gun makers". This partially explains why after a year of bombing ISIS, it feels well and expanding: bombs thrown on the desert sands are more profitable than finishing off the gangs. Partially because the other goal is leaving the land in ashes, as it befits the empire of chaos...
As soon as the first Russian bombs started falling on ISIL positions in Syria western media filled with reports about innocent civilians allegedly killed by these bombs, and the Pentagon said that ISIL terrorists were not the prime target of the Russian airstrikes, a US-based website reported on Friday.
Enrique Ferro's insight:
“The United States, hell-bent on toppling the Syrian President Bashar Assad, has started an information war against the Russian aerial campaign against the Islamic State terrorist group,” Alex Thornborough wrote on the OpEdNews progressive antiwar activism and opinion website.
Western countries are willing to grant asylum to Syrian refugees, but are still unwilling to stop adding fuel to the fire of the Syrian civil war, Greece-based independent humanitarian journalist Fragkiska Megaloudi notes.
Enrique Ferro's insight:
It was not the first time when the Syrian government has been accused for gas attacks. However, a United Nations investigation into human rights abuses in Syria indicated in May 2013 that at least two of alleged attacks (in Aleppo in March 2013 and Homs in December 2012) were most likely carried out by Syrian rebels. Referring to evidence from casualties and medical staff UN international Prosecutor Carla del Ponte claimed that it was rebel forces who had used the deadly nerve agent sarin against the country's civil population.
