Can we effectively link personality to brain structure and neurochemistry ? 

 

What if you are neither a strong extrovert nor a strong introvert ?

 

I also think there are other factors than extrovertion/introvertion that are impacting the way people behave in various contexts and their "rewarding mechanisms"

The article suggest that the future of organizations is "Holacracy" where the organizational power is distributed according to a set of explicit processes and structures designed to achieve the company’s purpose.

 

In a Holacracy, every role in the organization has an explicit, documented purpose and set of accountabilities, and roles exist separately from the individuals who happen to be filling them at the time.

The economic slump offers business leaders a chance to more effectively reward talented employees by emphasizing nonfinancial motivators rather than bonuses. A McKinsey Quarterly article.

McKinsey in-depth interviews with HR directors suggest that many companies have cut remuneration costs by 15 percent or more.


Noncash motivators—praise from immediate managers, leadership attention and a chance to lead projects or task forces—are more effective motivators than the three highest-rated financial incentives: cash bonuses, increased base pay, and stock or stock options.


Many executives hesitate to challenge the traditional managerial wisdom: money is what really counts.
