Great examples how one can use 21st Century tools in the classroom while every part is well described with "Definition", *Workflow", *Tools", "Workshop Description"... This is how it should be, take it as a very good practice example!

The 21st Century Classroom - Digital Geography

Amber Hill EDU10713 Curriculum, Assessment & New Media Emerging Pedagogies...

This student-produced video (from Southern Cross University in Australia) has many good insights...especially the tagline "we need to prepare our students for the future, not the past." While all new technologies do not improve on tried and true practices, some are worth putting into our classes as the resources become available to us. Also this video outlines numerous resources and how they can be used in the classroom. Who says we can't learn from students?

46 Tools To Make Infographics In The Classroom

46 Tools To Make Infographics In The Classroom | Global Education: 21st Century Resources | Scoop.it

Infographics are interesting–a mash of (hopefully) easily-consumed visuals (so, symbols, shapes, and images) and added relevant character-based data (so, numbers, words, and brief sentences).

The learning application for them is clear, with many academic standards–including the Common Core standards–requiring teachers to use a variety of media forms, charts, and other data for both information reading as well as general fluency...

Las infografías son una herramienta muy útil por su factor visual: en poco espacio y de forma visulamente agradable y atrayente, engloba datos y relaciona conceptos.

On a Mac, you can choose to print a Web page, then instead of sending the ‘print’ job to a physical printer, you can export as a PDF. Then, open the PDF with OSX Preview app to annotate before emailing to others for their review.

On the iPad, the ‘Print’ option doesn’t have a PDF export option. This is where the Universal app Web to PDF comes in handy. Upon launching, you are presented with a Web browser to go to the page you need a PDF of. Browse to a Web page and choose the button at the bottom right of the screen, “Create PDF”. The resulting PDF is a great way to read a Web page later when offline too!

Education got a lot more mobile in 2012 as in-school iPad initiatives, the iPhone 5 launch and online learning providers in general made classroom experiences more interesting—and don’t expect to see teaching head back to desktop PC’s in 2013. In fact, as MOOCs and hybrid programs continue to evolve, mobile should have an ever more significant role to play. Looking back at some of 2012′s most significant app launches and updates,

Students Urge Teachers to Embrace Digital Tools

Students Urge Teachers to Embrace Digital Tools | Global Education: 21st Century Resources | Scoop.it
Students at an education conference said it was time to tear down the wall between their digital lives outside of school and in school, where much access to technology is restricted.

When students are asking to use the technology at their fingertips to improve their education and have ideas on how to successfully implement them in the classroom, I think we should listen.

THE 21ST CENTURY PEDAGOGY TEACHERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF

THE 21ST CENTURY PEDAGOGY TEACHERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF | Global Education: 21st Century Resources | Scoop.it
Things have changed , old methods and pedagogies are no longer relevant. The teacher-controlled learning where deconstructed and reconstructed information is presented in a highly formal and standardized classroom settings becomes very obsolete. The urgent questions we should , as educators , ask ourselves are : what is it that made this huge transformation in learning ? and Do we need a new pedagogy to better enhance learning ?
