Angelo Remon is a performer. Angelo Remon is a writer. Angelo Remon is a producer who has been in the music business for the some time and has seen many things, but most of all Angelo Remon is a parent.
"Man you don't think it's crazy the type of music that they're putting out now" Angelo asked (I know Angelo)? "Why isn't there any balance in today's music? Man music is so important to us not only in society but also it's important to us as a culture" Angelo commented.
Angelo feels that maybe hip hop has been steered in a direction that will cause harm to future generations of already at risk urban youth. Youth who already have very real challenges in there life who might be being programmed to fail with music and images.
"Man groups like Earth Wind and Fire, HeatWave, Confunksion , Frankie Beverly and Maze never used their platform to dispence so many bad ideas. They talked about life, love and issues that came from the interactions between life and love. I just want to see balance". Angelo makes it clear that this just ain't on the hip hop culture but also blame has to go to the execs that cut the checks to sponsor this mental genocide in urban youth culture. "Can we at least have balance in the messages labels and radio are putting out there to our youth"?
Angelo has as much passion for this topic as he does with his music. Angelo is a throwback to the traditional soulful balladeer, and he's really good at being that type of performer. Angelo is right to question the music & radio execs as to their motives.. There is to much at stake if we don't ask these important questions. Can there be a positive message balance in todays music and why does it seem like only certain segments hip hop are used as this vessel of message destruction for our urban youth.
Well now Angelo, the question is out there and now lets see who will step up and give you not only the answers you seek but also they will collaborate with you on finding a solution
