James Nelson-Lucas's insight:

Author, and Confirmed Bachelor E.M. Forner's EarthCent series frequently address he ttheme of Man's relation to Artificial Intelligences. It is ironic that he is a Luddite. So it was with reluctance that he invited Alexa into his home. But it was love at first website. Middle-aged 'Star Wars' fan to brief locals on preparing for future

Karen Dietz's curator insight, March 20, 2015 11:56 AM

What a great article! And how fabulous that creating science fiction adventures with executives is leading to boosts in creativity plus discovering new products.

Now how innovative is that? It just goes to show how versatile storytelling is, and how when it is creatively applied, whole worlds open up.

Read this article by Roger Showley. It's great this is happening in my own backyard here in San Diego, CA. Not only will you enjoy this very different application of storytelling, you'll get some ideas yourself about how to use storytelling to create a future story, or help you meet future demands.

Meet Ryan Asdourian: The Microsoft evangelist who doubles as the Seattle Seahawks mascot - GeekWire

Meet Ryan Asdourian: The Microsoft evangelist who doubles as the Seattle Seahawks mascot - GeekWire | Get Your Geek On | Scoop.it
That's Ryan Asdourian on the left at the 2013 Microsoft Shareholders Meeting. And yes, that's the same Ryan Asdourian on the right as "Blitz," the Seahawks
James Nelson-Lucas's insight:

Seahawks or Patriots? Microsoft or Apple? Everyone can score a touchdown by joining The Norwegian Fish Club Odin as we battle Multiple Sclerosis, For only the cost of a few Super Bowl Sunday snacks.

Ryan Asdourian is a remarkable man. Living with MS, he has two carreers, and still has time and energy to champion the MS cause. We are thankful for his working with the National MS Society, raising both money, and awareness. For many of us, debilitating MS symptoms have sidelined us from the workplace. We rely on the National MS Society research and support.

The Walk MS 2015, is fast approaching. And again this year the proud Vikings of The Norwegian Fish Club Odin will be taking up their banners to storm Legoland for the cause.

Last year our team raised enough money to purchase a much needed wheelchair for someone who has tackled by MS and robbed of their mobility. We hope to surpass our goal this year.

You can help us score by joining as a Walker, Virtual Walker, or simply make a donation to the team.. Even the price of a couple bags of game day chips will help. Join the Movement today!

Invisible Disabilities: #YouCan'tParkThere! #MSidCard

James Nelson-Lucas's insight:

Many disabilities are invisible. Including fatigue, pain, cognitive dysfunction, and others. And visible symptoms can vary in severity from day to day, hour to hour.. Many of us who live with these challenges have encountered confrontation when using handicapped parking spaces. The assumption is that if we do not have a wheelchair or scooter, we do not deserve the space. But even needing wheelchair assistance does not necessarily mean one is completely unable to walk or stand. In my experience, most of us who use ”perks” like handicapped would rather leave the to those who “really need it”. But sometimes we really need a level playing field. “How do I prove it?” My challenge is Multiple Sclerosis, and I have talked to many living with MS who have asked this question. I recently found an answer; A Multiple Sclerosis Identification Card issued by the Rocky Mountain MS Center. This handy card identifies you as a person with MS. It includes MD & emergency contacts, and a list of invisible symptoms. I encourage anyone wit MS to get one of these cards. Even if you never show it to anyone else, it can serve as a personal reminder that you have legitimate need of disabled services.

But this is not a Disney set, this is the Neuschwanstein castle, a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace in Bavaria, Germany– the original Disney castle.  Indeed, Neuschwanstein looks so much like a fairytale castle that Walt Disney himself was [...]
