10 Things Highly Intuitive People Do Differently

10 Things Highly Intuitive People Do Differently | Gerencia y aprendizaje | Scoop.it

"Cognitive science is beginning to demystify the strong but sometimes inexplicable presence of unconscious reasoning in our lives and thought. Often dismissed as unscientific because of its connections to the psychic and paranormal, intuition isn't just a bunch of hoo-ha about our "Spidey senses" -- the U.S. military is even investigating the power of intuition, which has helped troops to make quick judgments during combat that ended up saving lives.

"There is a growing body of anecdotal evidence, combined with solid research efforts, that suggests intuition is a critical aspect of how we humans interact with our environment and how, ultimately, we make many of our decisions," Ivy Estabrooke, a program manager at the Office of Naval Research, told the New York Times in 2012...."

The Future of the Internet of Things [infographic]

The Future of the Internet of Things [infographic] | Gerencia y aprendizaje | Scoop.it

Ever wonder why Google is installing extreamly fast gigabit internet infrastructure when the average person needs 200x less speed? It is because of the future of the Internet of Things. In less than 10 years, the internet will not just be for your phone or laptop, everything will be online.

I’m talking about your car, fridge, tv, blender, air conditioner, front door, and even your wallet. This inevitable future is why google is starting today with affordable gigabit internet. This new wave of device overload will open up revenue and advertising streams to a whole new level.

Today’s infographic states that in 2020, every human being on earth will be connected to 10 separate devices.

I know I’m already using five and I bet one of the most prominent technology coming up soon will be wearable tech. If its for exercising, sports, general information or just making phone calls, wearable tech will be an exciting addition today’s digital arsenal.

Teaching Ethics in the Age of Technology

Teaching Ethics in the Age of Technology | Gerencia y aprendizaje | Scoop.it
Ethical decision-making should be included as a 21st century skill (overused term but don't know of an alternative).  Some would profess that ethical decision-making has always been a needed skill....

Society is a dynamic system. It must, by nature, evolve in order to survive. As we develop the new definitions of appropriate behavior in the online environment it is imperative that many members of society be engaged in this ongoing dialogue.

An informed community and active discussion of ethical issues will enable society to determine civil and just manners to deal with the nuances of technological advancement (Rezmierski, 1992).

By opening this dialogue within the K-12 environment, teachers will be able to prepare students to understand the proper use of technology and explore the issues that will continue to unfold (Using Moral Development Theory to Teach K-12 Cyber Ethics).

so much wonderful information included in this report by Deloitte.   Wonderful read and tools included.  Although majority of it was information that we knew intuitively it assisted in quantifying and crystallizing the top priorities.  Connecting the dots so to speak, to borrow from their graphics.

How Colors Affect Conversions [Infographic] | Gerencia y aprendizaje | Scoop.it

People often overlook how important psychology is to marketing. But something as seemingly inconsequential as color can be the deciding factor in something like acall-to-action. Certain colors invoke certain feelings that will influence a buyer's behavior.

Ken Cooper's curator insight, April 21, 2014 11:48 AM

Shaughnessy notes that reputation is often the chief measurement of innovative companies. Outputs, like the number of new products or patents, are also easy to measure. He looks to inputs as a key indicator of innovation capability. That is, where the raw material for innovation efforts comes from, and how it is processed into the final product.

I like Shaughnessy's emphasis on inputs, because the practice of innovation depends on inputs as the primary sources of innovation opportunity.

Johan Burger's curator insight, September 7, 2014 12:50 AM

Measuring is crucial. If you do not measure, you cannot manage.

When thinking about product and brand innovation– what seems to elude many executive leaders is a lack of understanding that people do not buy products, they buy into meanings.
