Gillian & Alexis's insight:

This article relates to Economics because of the rising economic debt throughout the European continent.

Throughout Europe, rising debt and unemployment has resulted in much anger towards leaders and officials of the EU.  Greece, who is now in it's seventh year of recession, has seen stats as high as 90% of it's citizens being unhappy with their prime minister. Spain has seen unemployment rates as high as 22.8%, causing for an economic emergency within the country.  Being the powerhouse economy of Europe, Germany has offered to bail out Greece in return for their compliance of being overseen by Germany for a bit, something Greece is unlikely to comply to.

African Traditional Religion | South African History Online

African Traditional Religion | South African History Online | Australia, Europe & AfricaGeography to the Point | Scoop.it
Gillian & Alexis's insight:

Although Traditional African Religion is a minority throughout many African countries today, those who still practice it are deeply devoted. Based on oral traditions, Traditional African Religion is not based on religious principals, but rather a cultural aspect. People who practice this have deep connections to their spiritual ancestors and often worship not a god, for they feel they are to unworthy to do so, but their ancestors, whom they believe will then talk to the god for them. Upon a small illness, the followers of this religion often believe that their ancestors have cast this minor illness upon them to warn that they are headed down an incorrect route.

South Africa's political parties

South Africa's political parties | Australia, Europe & AfricaGeography to the Point | Scoop.it
Information on
democracy in South Africa - safeguarded by one of the world's
most progressive constitutions, an independent judiciary, a free
press and a robust multi-party political system
Gillian & Alexis's insight:

Within this article, the various political parties of South Africa are summarized and discussed. The majority party, the African  National Congress (ANC),  was formerly a banned pary after a massacre in the 1960's and was run "underground" for the next 30 years. Unbanned in 1990, the same year as Nelson Mandela's release, it is now the largest party in parliament, and controls 8 of 9 provinces within South Africa. Leader of the party, Nelson Mandela, was elected in 1994 as South Africa's first demcratic president. A democratic party, the ANC's goal is to create a non-racist, non-sexist,  democratic society.

Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe? Really? Odd because Pakistani-born American Muslim Dr. Ilyas Ba-Yunus says that 75% of new Muslim Converts in the US leave Islam within ...

Via Tom Hauck
Gillian & Alexis's insight:

This article relates to Religion because of the growing number of people beginning to follow the Islam religion.

Throughout many "western civilization" countries, there has been a recent influx of Muslims, resulting in a higher demographic of Islamic religion. This influx comes from Muslims emigrating from the Middle East and coming to countries such as the United States of America, various countries throughout western and northern Europe, Australia, and other countries that have more of a western civilization.

Europe's extremist threat is criminal, not political - Globe and Mail

Europe's extremist threat is criminal, not political - Globe and Mail | Australia, Europe & AfricaGeography to the Point | Scoop.it
Europe's extremist threat is criminal, not politicalGlobe and MailAs Europe enters its fifth year of economic trauma and choking unemployment, is it being overtaken by the politics of anger and hate?

Via Infidel Patriot
Gillian & Alexis's insight:

This article relates to the political section of PERSIA due to mounting pressure  throughout Europe over minority groups  within certain regions.

European extremist political parties, the right-wing extremists, are the core of much strife and contempt within the European Union.  Certain extremist political parties such as  the  immigrant baiting leader Geert Wilders,  of the Dutch Party for Freedom, have called for certain minorities such as Slavs and Muslims to be considered as "undesirables". Other political parties such as the Greek political party, the  Golden Dawn, have  used a modernized Swatstika and physical violence to get across their message about minority groups.

Behind the curtains of Europe's economic trouble and unemployment lies this extremist party monster  who may show it's ugly face more  and more if a tranquilizer is not found.

Exploring Africa

Exploring Africa | Australia, Europe & AfricaGeography to the Point | Scoop.it
Gillian & Alexis's insight:

This article gives an in-depth explanation of the arts, music, and cultural aspects of Africa in addition to many other categories. Much of Africa's music history is widely disputed among historians, for as Western explorers began to explore the African  continent, the journal writings were often very unreliable due to being put in a "western theoretical framework". Still today not much is known about african music because of it's complexity and incorrect interpretations by western explorers.

Many nations have adopted this protocol, but Australia continues to exercise the old IPv4, which may lead to a cut in business and trading with major economies such as China, due to poor connection and communication.
