The crisis in Somalia is increasing on a daily basis and there seems to be no end in sight. The world has been slow to respond to the issues Africa faces many of which are a direct result of colonialism. The former colonial powers have a duty to find remedies to Africa’s growing famine if only for humanitarian reasons.
When African states gained independence, the continent's new leaders agreed to respect the old colonial borders to avoid endless wars.
