Survival Gardening - Aquaponics - Straight Forward Prepper

Any survivalist worth their salt can see the obvious applications and should endeavor to understand aquaponics, and fit it into their long term survival plans. Aquaponic systems can be complex in nature, or relatively simple.

Since I happen to like the AquaFarm that is being shown on this blog article, and the fact that there is a well built article on the website showing the qualities of aquaponics quite clearly, I had to scoop this article.

But if you are a survivalist and preparing for the end of the world, the aquaponic garden shown is 3 gallons, a great learning tool and will supplement your herbs and even lettuce needs, it is a long way away from supplying the family with food.

National Geographic Found

National Geographic Found | geography |

"FOUND is a curated collection of photography from the National Geographic archives. In honor of our 125th anniversary, we are showcasing photographs that reveal cultures and moments of the past. Many of these photos have never been published and are rarely seen by the public.  We hope to bring new life to these images by sharing them with audiences far and wide. Their beauty has been lost to the outside world for years and many of the images are missing their original date or location."

These pictures are awesome. It would be nice to know the locations of some of the pictures to compare them to images now.

HootSuite adds Gmail, Pinterest and other cool apps

Four new apps were added to the HootSuite App directory today, bringing the grand total to 65 apps and widgets you can add to further extend your HootSuite Dashboard.

Today's apps include Gmail, ViralTag for Pinterest, Vidcaster and Shopseen!

It's the Pinterest app that I'm particularly interested in. While there's a $4.99 a month subscription fee from the app creator, what it brings to the table is the ability toschedule and space out your pins, resulting in a more consistent and regular Pinterest experience.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who pins in bunches!

Do you think Pinterest scheduling and dashboard access is worth that price tag?

Check out the article for more info on the rest of the new apps, if you're interested. Thanks!
