Mappable U.S. Census Data | Geographic Information Technology | Scoop.it

# 7 on the Top 10 list of online resources for 2011 is this user-friendly interactive map with customizable layers with U.S. census data from the NYTimes titled, "Mapping America: Every City, Every Block."  Browse local data from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, which was conducted from 2005 to 2009.  This is super easy to use for students accustomed to internet browsing.   If your school has computers but no GIS software, this can provide some of the geospatial technologies for you.
