8) We can fix man made objects by simply replacing the part. However, the human bodies area made to reject foreign objects. Unfortunately, it is being found that foreign DNA is particularly rejected by bodies.

9) It is important to realize that gene therapy is different than genetic enhancement. Genetic enhancement is like plastic surgery to your genes. This can help improve your looks, athletic ability, etc. The purpose of gene therapy is solely to cure people from terrible illnesses to improve their quality of life.

10) Although through trials and experiments gene therapy has proven to be more difficult than once expected. This does not mean that there is no future for gene therapy. It has already shown to successfully improve some types of illnesses. With further research being done the future still looks bright.
