Aspen Evans's curator insight, April 23, 2:37 PM

I choose this article because it was related to how women were segregated from men. It directly relates to the article Half the Sky because it was referring to how a man went to a debate and the women and men were separated and he told them they had to mix up. In Half the Sky Bill Gates also had this issue of women and men being segregated and he told them if they wanted to be in the top 10 they would have to work with women.

This article helps with movement.

I selected this article because it gives an inside of where the sex trade had started or how it started. It related because it talks of how women are sold off from their families (or are simply taken away from them) and they are forced into sex trafficking.

Jacob Cooney's curator insight, May 7, 10:34 PM

I like this article because it goes onto a whole new level than other articles because Thompson actually experienced what a lot of unfortunate girls and women have to go through.

K. Paige Ashworth's curator insight, May 8, 8:05 AM

This article speaks of the unbearable truth that young women are put through during sex trafficking.

This is my favorite articles, as it speaks of the well-known repetitive phrase  "women can do anything men can". While this phrase is a little annoyingly mundane,  this article has a refreshing way to claim the truth through a woman by the name of Nadia Popova's life.

Taylor Ferguson's curator insight, May 1, 11:29 AM

I chose this article because it relates to ESPNs in the political sense because the individuals in the article are fighting for more fair judgments in court which is very important in women's rights. In relation to "Half the Sky" the people in the article retaliated and tried to help women's rights much like the aid groups that helped women in the excerpt.

I chose this one because it shows how women are starting to branch out and taking over an area in media that is known as a "boys subject". This relates because this area in media is supposedly known as a boys area but women are showing that it can also be a girls topic and they can "handle" it.
