Manea Murray's comment, April 3, 2013 2:48 AM
Georgia’s comments are agreeable to my views on measuring success. The article is comparing successful versus non-successful through characteristics and personality of people. Reading the Success Indicator makes a point that a person is able to gauge his or her own success through how they behave and what lifestyle choices they want to make. It is important to understand that only the individuals can measure success for themselves.
ShaLino's comment, April 6, 2013 12:21 AM
I agree with both of Georgia's and Manea's comments about measuring success. Success is very important in life as well as having the characteristics and mentality of a person wanting to go far. Although this article had agreeable points, more discussion needs to be explored I think. Also, success comes from goals set by a person. Until that person is satisfied and fulfilled by their goals then one can maybe say or feel successful. It is true that success is not measured by popularity or how much money you have.
Ishika Nair's curator insight, April 9, 2013 2:46 AM

I think this article is relating with successfaul and non successful by showing the appearances. As shown on the article success is not only be achieved in bussiness or bbby becoming famous. The success indicator merely measures the success within your own lifestyle. This also means people measures success in many different ways and on many different levels when serring goals in life, its important that we indentify what success means to us personally, so that when we succedd we will know it.

EXPLODE WITH INNER GREATNESS! - Wisdom for Future Leaders

EXPLODE WITH INNER GREATNESS! - Wisdom for Future Leaders | Gems for a Happy Family Life | Scoop.it

Here some keys to unleashing your inner greatness:

1.) Serve Others – He who has not served cannot lead
- Motivate based on goals
- Help people bring out their strengths
- Help people win

2.) Lead from the Front
- To lead you must first believe
- Be selfless, be genuine
- Show that you care when people deserve it

3.) Sharpen the Saw – in order to have complete success you have to be the complete individual, physical, mental and spiritual
- Professional growth without personal growth is chaos
- Set goals and hit them. Have higher standards than the competition and hold fast to them
- Have the ability to identify problems and solve them immediately.
- Invest in yourself, empty the coins of your purse into your mind and your mind will fill your purse with coins

- Sometimes there is just no holding back the river, be the river

4.) Take Action:
- Do not only Dream, but take action

5.) Be Obedient

6.) Be Courageous, believe in yourself

7.) Be Fearless

8.) Show Discipline and Focus

… and what I see as very important:

9.) Try to withstand every mere wish, every have to, every outer temptation
- Learn to realize what is really essential
- You are not every mother’s child
- You don’t have to please everyone
- If you look into your heart, you will know what you want

10.) Act that you are able to look yourself in the eyes

David Hain's curator insight, January 14, 2013 2:37 AM

Contentment breeds sccess, not the other way round. We all have to make a decision about whether to stop striving for the next level (rank, money, status, etc) and enjoy where we are in the hope (with some research back-up) that success will follow.

ThinDifference's curator insight, January 14, 2013 4:17 AM

Interesting, diverse stats:

"At this writing, Gallup also reports that nearly 60 percent all Americans today feel happy without a lot of stress or worry. On the other hand, according to the  Center for Disease Control, about 4 out of 10 Americans have not    discovered a satisfying life purpose. Forty percent either do not think their lives have a clear sense of purpose or are neutral about whether their lives    have purpose. Nearly a quarter of Americans feel neutral or do not have a strong sense of what makes their lives meaningful."

Pursuing purpose provides a better foundation on which happiness can be found.... we may be pursing the wrong thing.
