Organize + Energize: Are You Too Busy To Get Organized?

Organize + Energize: Are You Too Busy To Get Organized? | Gems for a Happy Family Life | Scoop.it
At least once a week, I will hear somebody say, “I’m too busy to get organized. Are you crazy? I can’t stop what I’m doing to get organized!” If you think getting organized is a waste of time, you are wasting time by not being organized. If you continue to say these words, you will continue to be stressed out, frazzled, paralyzed and stuck due to your disorganization. How long have you been operating this way? Has it been weeks, months, years? It’s time to carve out some time in your day and make a plan to get organized.

Gain through organization, or lose.

7 Easy Ways to Save Your Eyes From Smartphone Strain

7 Easy Ways to Save Your Eyes From Smartphone Strain | Gems for a Happy Family Life | Scoop.it

Your smartphone is a sight for sore eyes. Literally.

If you’re one of those people who glances at their smartphone 150 times a day, chances are your eyes are paying the price for your screen addiction.

Staring at your smartphone -- or tablet, e-reader or laptop, while we’re at it  -- for too long can lead to tired, itchy, dry eyes, and even blurred vision and headaches. Think zombie eyes and you’re there.

Happy Happiness Day! Treat yourself to a jar!

donhornsby's curator insight, March 20, 7:52 AM

(From the article): Here is a simple and visual exercise. Find a jar, and at the end of the day write a small note about one moment during the day that made you happy. It doesn’t have to be a significant moment – it may be something as simple as watching your dog roll around on his back on the lawn. Fold up the paper and put it in the jar. If you’re ever feeling down, go to the jar and relive a moment that made you smile. The tactile nature of it will put a smile on your dial - and it separates - good feelings from the smart phone - which may well also be your work device.
