Google's purchase of Netst is just the latest step in its plot to take over your digital life.
Harold Thwaites's insight:
Is GOOGLE Big Brother? Is there a digital life take over "plot"? That will really be up to the consumer and how much "permission" you give the Big G to come into your home, your life and your privacy. PRIVACY is the big TRUST issue when it comes to any company having so much access to so much information... and the information about information. When the Internet of THINGS..... really kicks in then it may be out of our control. Things will "talk" to things and to the Big G, if they are conneted. It is already happening and from the looks of this Nest purchase, it will begin expand even faster. All that to say.... consumer beware, and adjust your privacy settings !
