"This beautiful old wrought iron crib was my youngest sons over 31 years ago. Today, it would be considered unsafe, so it would never be used for it's original purpose. It was stored under our house, but when I dragged it out the other day, it brought back so many memories! I bought it back then from an antique store and was told that it was salvaged from an old french hospital that had been torn down.
It's now become a comfy bench for my front porch. All I had to do was shorten the legs by about 3 inches and make a cushion. I used an old cutter quilt as the cushion cover. The crib side folds down so it acts as extra support for the seat area, which worked out perfectly." Marie Wirth in Bethel Island, CA
