Why would Apple want to build an iWatch and not a competitor to Google Glass? People are already comfortable with something electronic on their wrist.
Gadgets I lust for
I can't afford to buy all the cool geek stuff out there. So I collect them here instead. Feel free to suggest yours!

The AirPods are more of a mixed bag. They're fine for listening to wireless audio, but they're expensive. They pair easily with your iPhone, but you still need your iPhone to easily control them. They fit well in most ears, but boy do they look goofy.
Sounds like a lot of concessions to make just to get rid of a cable.

A summary of early-on reviews of Apple 7.
TL;DR Not much new visible stuff but simply a more powerful device that looks the same as the iPhone 6/6s.
An iPhone 6ss?
Turning You played with it for hours on end after it was first released, but by the time The Force Awakens hit theaters months later, you had probably lost interest in your Sphero BB-8. But don’t bury the little droid in a drawer just yet, because a free app will make your BB-8 even more exciting than the day you first opened it.
Turning toys like these into platform by making them evolutive is super smart. Parrot attempted to do that with their drones and it's a highly desirable outcome for gadgets or device manufacturers.
What will you build?
I'm a big fan of standing desks. Although their direct benefits over sitting are somewhat iffy, they encourage you to move around and be just a little more
Not sure I wouldn't fall asleep with one of these....
The Apple TV has been available for a week now and the tvOS App Store is estimated to include over 1,000 apps, with more coming online every day. There's a pretty good selection of titles, with a h...
A calculator? Seriously? Still waiting to receive mine but if these are the best app, it's a little underwhelming.
It's going to take another year or two, not just for Apple but for the market, to understand what it is that consumers really want these smartwatches to do for them.
Additional data points on how the Apple Watch is failing to replicate the iPad success (see also this chart). On the bright side for Apple, it appears that they now own this market by making more than half the sales of smartwatches. But the market hasn't really been creating and the category's still not clear for consumers.
Companies making robots are looking at making them open App platforms. This means that robots would not only be good for one group of pre-defined tasks but that they would evolve over time as App developers come out with new creative ideas.
This model is clearly the best one as demonstrated by the success of the iPhone but let's remember one thing: mobile Apps existed long before Apple launched the App Store. But it took Apple's marketing genius to pull it off and make them really mainstream. Before Steve Jobs' taking a shot at it, Nokia failed at making Symbian Apps mainstream. So did Microsoft on Windows phones.
Not sure unheard-of robot makers such as Jibo and Blue Frog Robotics have the marketing capacity to make Apps for robot a success yet but this is going to be an interesting space to watch.
When Apple first showed off the Apple Watch, I was stunned. It looked glorious and larger than life. Shiny and precision-machined. Like an…
Apple set expectations really high.
Too high according to Mike Rundle - a designer with a sharp eye for details who owned 8 iphones (so can't be accused of being an Apple-basher).
I've decided to pass for now on this product for a number of reasons - not the design flaws he points out - but this doesn't make me regret this decision.
If Apple gets tired of watches, laptops and phones and decides to make a drone, it might look like this.
Beautiful designer concept. Not sure why Apple would ever design a drone but it looks like everybody expects to come out with something unusual like a car or a tv. Time to be bold again Apple!
