Traffic is the key for success in online business. It is crucial for a business blog. It is well known that most of the bloggers are aware of the importance of content, relationships and promotions to generate traffic...But do note that blog commenting cannot be relied as a major or a sole traffic source. You have to spend quite some time in commenting on other blogs (which means you have to read a lot of blog posts). And, you have to be consistent in doing this. This may not work for everyone as a great traffic source. But blog commenting is surely a source of good traffic.

Content curation will play a major role both in the way we teach and in the way we educate ourselves on any topic. When and where it will be adopted, it will deeply affect many key aspects of the educational ecosystem. An increasing number of alternatives to academic-based traditional certification systems are emerging. These non-academic new certification systems have the power to dent into universities dearest asset: the lock between content being taught and the test/assessments that are supposed to certify a student competence on it. These alternative certification systems are likely to provide alternative means for many individuals to demonstrate and be valued for their skills without a need to attend academic courses, to pay expensive tuition fees, to purchase new textbooks, and to pay for exam/certification costs.

A short while ago, I wrote an article on this site suggesting that you can’t build a brand simply by setting out to build a brand.
***** Branding as shorthand feels more important now as the world collapses on our heads, but there is something gone forever in time. Perhaps brands haven't changed as much as we have. This reminds me of returning to Harry C. Withers Elementary School after years away. What was once so large on return was now so small. This shrinkage is what has happened to brands. Brands stayed the same size, but we've gotten infinitely larger. Smart, well thought out article with a position I never considered but that makes sense of our NOW. Marty
Great comment from Therese Torris accurately summarizes my thinking before reading this article. After reading it I'm not as sure:
Therese Torris (Today, 5:55 AM): I think brands are huge but they're so many and so pervasive that we don't perceive them any more. We swim in brands like fish in the ocean, we "google", we "send from my iPad", we wear logos on our forehead... but thanks for the food for thoughts...

How Flash Pals is gaining traction with its fuzzy animal-themed storage devices.
Finding a cute flash drive for his girlfriend’s birthday proved more difficult than Doug Stienstra imagined. At the time a student at The University of Iowa, Stienstra searched the mall and the internet, disappointed to find that the nontraditional flash drives on the market were unattractive and overpriced. So he took a DIY approach: He bought a fuzzy finger puppet from a toy store and glued it to a standard USB drive.
The gift was a hit.
“All of her friends loved the flash drive and started asking me to make one for them,” recalls Stienstra, now 23. “I knew I was onto something.”
