In this article we learn that the emerging technologies of the future will improve the quality of life and increase productivity throughout the world.  Modern advances in such things as robotics, 3D printing, nanotechnology, neuromorphic engineering and precise medicine  will solve many of the worlds pressing challenges.


As technology is increasingly improving we are slowly moving forward and not rapidly due to restrictions based upon outdated government regulations and uninformed public opinion.

LinkedIn is rolling out a new messaging experience that offers an easier and more lightweight way to have professional conversations with your connections.  

LinkedIn rebuilt everything from the ground up so you can expect a cleaner and more streamlined look and feel to help you start or keep a conversation going. LinkedIn also introduced a chat-style interface to allow for easy back and forth messaging. LinkedIn also organized all the messages around the people that matter to you, which means you’ll be able to easily reference the last conversation you had right within the thread. We’ve also improved our push and email notifications to make it easier to stay on top of the conversations that are most relevant and important to you.

In addition to being able to attach photos and documents to your messages, now you can also add stickers, emojis and GIFs to insert a little extra personality into the conversations you’re having 1:1 or with a group on the new messaging experience.

Recently I attended a concert by Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band.  While I was watching the show I was very impressed with the skill of the lighting designer had how he had used the tools at hand to really enhance the show without ever drawing unnecessary attention to what he was doing.

Lighting defines how a show will look. Modern audiences expect bigger and better shows every time they go to see a music tour. Especially if the artist is a big name or the tickets cost a lot of money. People expect to get the best for their money always. Without a good lighting show to accompany a good artist, you may not have a successful tour.
