I couldn't concur more strongly. Azure is definitely going to be one of the major contenders for the cloud crown. Google will be there too with their Cloud, but Microsoft have been wise to remain within the Windows eco-system with Azure. I am perplexed with why Google are pushing Chrome OS and Android (2 different OS's, with the latter rather fragmented) and how they intend to get them together into their Cloud. Redmond will unify OS's with Windows 10 (very soon), there we will no longer see Windows Phone or RT. Just Windows 10.

Apple and iOS will always be there, but will slowly shift, once again, into the peripherals. This is Apple for you. Always too expensive and always far too paranoid and controlling. Most believe that Apple are where they are today because they are innovative. This is absolutely nonsense. The latest iPhones, 6 and 6 Plus are technologically outdated. Further, let's face it, iOS has changed little since the first iPhone and that makes it a VERY old OS.
