QUIT WORRYING ABOUT CHINA. Many sectors are growing at 20+% a year

QUIT WORRYING ABOUT CHINA. Many sectors are growing at 20+% a year | FUTURE of CHINA | Scoop.it

With a population of 1.3 billion people, China has become the second largest economy in the world. As China’s economy continues to mature, the country’s focus is turning away from manufacturing and exports and toward domestic consumption.

FRANK FEATHER ~ Business Futurist's insight:

All this nail biting about China's GDP is laughable. Anyone who shorts the currency or anything to do with China is a fool who is going to get burned by the Dragon. Many sectors of the NEW Chinese economy are growing at 20+% and some of them at 40% a year. Sure, overall GDP growth will level off at current levels or just below. No economy can grow at 12+% for ever. But the Chinese economy is not only rock solid, but it is transforming itself by focusing on the NEW sectors of the economy.

This articlae is trying to claim that China will be just fine with in a couple years. They say that they are in the transition between a developing country to a developed one. They claim that once they fix the infrastructure and pay issues, China will switch to an import driven economy from any export driven one. This switch will allow more factories to move to other nations raising the standard of living for most of the world. This switch was bound to happen but the stock market crash that went along with it only spend up the process.

This article anyalisis the Chinese economy and the possible problems that it faces. The article points out that the Chinese stock market is mostly just the factories and not the service sector and that the economy is growing close to 3% not 7%. This is important for the international community because it shows that China is not the powerhouse that the internaitonal community thinks it is. A weaker China will mean a more timid China that will not try to escalate any conflicts like the one about ocean claims off its coast. I think that this article provides amother view of china that I have not seen in my research. This could change the direction that my research is going.

This also provides China with more places to send manufactured goods. I think that China is using Canada to jump start there economy after the slump they have had because of the stock market.
