It may be hard to believe, but sunshine is going to transform Glasgow into one of the world's greenest cities.

Don't need to be in the Sahara to use solar PV profitably, the technology has matured to work on daylight rather than just direct sunlight. Glasgow City Council is working with Strathclyde University to assess suitability of 550 hectares of unused / derelict land for solar farms.
