Course: Transformation Intensive near Berlin, June, 2014

Course: Transformation Intensive near Berlin, June, 2014 | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

June 21 to 29, 2014: Transformation Intensive is a full immersion 9 days residential course on personal transformation and insight.

The rewards of taking the full Transformation Intensive are new perspectives and realizations about your hidden assumptions and thought patterns that you had no idea were “running you”.  These insights are very liberating and provide the necessary basis to regain personal power. Now, it will be much easier learning and applying the skills to dissolve these limitations, recurring patterns, these inner conflicts and incoherence for good.  Once you see the real source of what has been preventing change, the approach guides you on a new path to accomplish it in day to day life.  The insights of this course can be directly applied to personal, professional, and collective challenges.

It speaks to your own level of expertise and happens in a safe and light environment. Transformation Intensive will be thoroughly experiential. It uses methods and materials that can be seen through the lenses of Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory, Otto Scharmer’s U-Theory or Robert Kegan’s Immunity to Change work. They can also be cross-referenced with other more intuitive transformative processes, tools and methods.

Anne Caspari's insight:

... the course is an excellent training ground for professionals, coaches, facilitators, change agents, integral thinkers, leaders interested to go deeper in their own development and enhance their capacity and skill set.

Emerging Concepts and Forms of Integral Leadership: Embodying a Radically New Development Paradigm

Emerging Concepts and Forms of Integral Leadership: Embodying a Radically New Development Paradigm | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

# Good argument for new paradigm concepts and a vision of  "awareness-based, love-infused, presence-centered, evolutionary leadership”  (but beyond green meme concepts :-))  drawing on Steiner, Campbell, Kegan, Torbert, Wilber, etc. The article gives a solid overview over qualities, concepts and practices that are emerging and gives a taste on what a new paradigm of leadership and development "in relationship to nature, community and meaning"  could actually look like embodied, and, most importantly, scaled up. A Call for Evolutionary Organization

"In organizational life we often sense potential futures that are different from present reality, and would be a step forward in some way. But then what? .."

# Brian Robertson talks briefly (8 min only :-)) about some aspects of his rather enlightened organizational governance model, Holacracy. It is an operating system that brings out the best of people at all levels and empowers an organization to respond rapidly and reliably to increasing complexity and insicurity in the market place; providing at the same time a rigorous structure that alows for alignment, interdependency and self-organization. Brilliant stuff. AC

Immunity To Change - Why Is Personal Change So Difficult? Adaptive rather than technical challenges

The inherent assumption in most training and work-related attempts at encouraging personal change is that it is skills based, in other words people can be taught to change. They can be taught, but generally they won't change. They can't change and according to Kegan this is because of their inbuilt and invisible immunity to change.

# my take: I have been working with the Kegan approach to overcome immunities to change and resistances on both individual and collective transformation processes. This is a great tool; the book makes it accessible for corporate minds. Well worth reading. Also see the review of my colleague Jonathan Reams:http://integral-review.org/documents/Reams,%20Immunity%20to%20Change%20Vol.%205%20No.%201.pdf AC

Integral Options Cafe: Bonnitta Roy - AQAL 2210: A Tentative Cartology of the Future; Or How do We Get from AQAL to A-perspectival? #itc2010 | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

When Wilber writes that AQAL is a map of the prison, the integral community should immediately understand that there is no prison except for the map. A-perspectivity is the unconditioned situation of living/being without the map. If we can learn to operate from that unconditioned place, then we can create new maps through which new worlds might arise with greater degrees of freedom and open-up our choice field. If we operate from that unconditioned place we will avoid the mistakes of misplaced concreteness that weld ideas into the bars and barriers of our self-imposed prisons. If we operate from that unconditioned place we will have transmuted the prisons of our selves into the playgrounds of spirit. We will, in other words, enter into the ever-present process of enacting our future.

Integral thinker Barrett Brown reflects on Occupy Wall Street protests. Offers an integral perspective our crumbling economic and political systems.

I have seen the awesomely powerful socio-technical forces, regimes, and technological and institutional and economic lock-in that keep the status quo alive. It is the sheer scale of it that most overwhelms my conceptual mind and individual heart.....A vision for where to go and who we want to become must arise that resonates across all those levels and systems. Those are some of the key conditions required. That sort of alignment is possible although it will likely take years and be messy....

The Many Dimensions of Change | Spiral Dynamics Integral (SDi)

The Many Dimensions of Change | Spiral Dynamics Integral (SDi) | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

Don Edward Beck:    All human groupings appear to be on the move, but towards different futures. The deep tectonic plates of human existence are shifting beneath the surface.

So, here is “change” in eight different dimensions or variations. Perhaps you can add others. The first five function within the current set of givens, called Change of the First Order. The second three operate within a new set of givens, thus Change of the Second Order. We often call it deep change, profound change, or even radical change to signify this category. New wine demands new wineskins.

Climate change as a ‘multiple object’

Climate change as a ‘multiple object’ | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it

I like the way Esbjorn-Hargens weaves in a number of strands of post-constructivist thought. His notion of climate change as a “multiple object” would appear to suggest a resonance with object-oriented ontology. This bodes well for ecophilosophical dialogue with a school (“integral philosophy”) that has remained a bit aloof from others, mainly because of the baggage accrued to its founder, Ken Wilber.

Alex Steffen: The shareable future of cities | Video on TED.com

TED Talk: How can cities help save the future? Alex Steffen shows some cool neighborhood-based green projects that expand our access to things we want and need -- while reducing the time we spend in cars. Interesting concepts: by not stealing the future, selling it now and calling it GDP, says he. Cool concepts, being implemented already right now.
