Flatland representation of U-Process

Flatland representation of U-Process | Futurable Planet: Answers from a Shifted Paradigm. | Scoop.it
Anne Caspari's insight:

I really like the graphs, it is strangely attractive, but on a closer look extremely  flat. It depicts transformative processes in a seemingly clean, nice and technical way, ("Step 5: find deeper meaning and purpose") ...  that have nothing to do with the actual phenomenon and process of deep transformation. Facing adaptive complex problems, cope with espace mechansims, resistances and immunities to change, getting deeply honest with self and others in this process, and dying that death at the bottom of the U that enables (and only this will enable) the new perspectives on a given complex adaptive challenge is not a step to conclude between coffee and lunch break. While utterly worth while, there is nothing nice about it, and there should not be a nice way of putting it, or else it is just marketing. And if people, individually or collectively, are not facing that pain and going through it, it is not real. A representation like this can be thoroughly misleading, both coaches and clients.
