I am going to tell you something that might not surprise you. People don’t love to read. I would totally look at pretty pictures and funny videos if I could learn everything I needed to know by doing just that. Wouldn’t you? I am so ADD and OCD that sometimes I can’t even re-read my own bl
I first heard about Tinder, the dating app, a few years back when I saw a super risqué add on a billboard driving down Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. Someone told me that it was just a hook up site for guys that were not interested in me – just interested in each other. So, I disregarded this little app for quite sometime until a friend suggested I give it a try a few months back. To my surprise there were a lot of guys looking for girls and I threw my hat in the ring. Why not? Right? It really could not get any worse than what I am doing now and that is dating my blog. Plus, if I hit it off with someone we could tell our kids that we met on Tinder and they will have no idea what the hell it is because social media apps do not have the longevity of something like say…… meeting through a mutual friend, organically or at a bar? Does that ever happen anymore? Not to me.
"Well, moving sucks. What do they say about taxes and moving? Yes. We all hate it until we get comfy in our new digs and have that spot on the couch to chillax, place to set our oversize shampoo bottles when they just don’t seem to fit the same way they fit in your shower at your old place, a perfect spot for that awkward size purse, nook for your accessories that you did not have at your previous residence and finding the ideal spot to take selfies to post on instagram with the best natural sunlight that doesn’t require yoga training. It is a long road to finally achieving perfect photo light location in new zip codes and I am not nearly there yet."
Funny parody of famous Dragnet "Blue Boy" episode Boing Boing [Video Link] Frank Conniff of Mystery Science Theater, and former Mr. Show, and Chris Rock Show writer Mike Upchurch produced a surreal "lost" Dragnet episode.
After receiving three, you are meant to have some kind of formal meeting between the parties involved but this never happened. If there are five, an external mediator has to be bought in. This didn't happen either and I was quite disappointed.
Since I did win in the Sex, Dating and Relationships category yesterday I thought I would share with you a funny ditty. Here goes…. You know how bad and non-existent dating is in the city of angels because I have told you over and over again. So, why not import someone? I did just that with my last tour mate. He hailed from the desert and we had known each other for quite sometime so I thought that this could be a real keeper until our last rendez vous ended in disaster somewhere between the Boulevard of Broken Dreams and…
This is a contender for a GREATEST HITS POST - hope it makes you lol A LOT!
MEMES – people love them!!! What is a meme? These are the “snarky” & funny pictures I post on Facebook, Twitter, Social Media and this blog. We are all a bit lazy (not you of course) and need instant gratification whether it is in work, relationships, dating, or even our social media consumption. Most people don’t like to read, so putting a thumbs up on a meme is so much easier than doing anything else like uh, ……
Follow my blog with Bloglovin Hello, hello! I am back in LALAland and just in time to rock out to some 80's rock n' roll tonight! Stephen Pearcy from Ratt and roll is playing at the Whisky and how could I miss it? Well I am not! I lucked out and jumped on an earlier plane yesterday so that I could get home and apply all the new social media and blogging knowledge to this blog! Of course, I had a lady on my plane who thought that she was the only person on the aircraft. She was no Alec…
Blogging is a lot like a relationship. There are many things to learn and it does not come easy. (Maybe I need to listen to my funny dating advice and learn from my own relationship tips-just a thought?) Anyway, blogging doesn’t just consist of writing alone just like dating does not consist of going out to dinner with no desert. Blogging and social media are very special relationships. Each blog and social medium has unique characteristics, which make him or her one of a kind and special. Special, like the way you are supposed make your date feel. Not all…

Happy Cinco De Mayo!
I am enclosing a letter I wrote to the Iowa Lottery and a copy of their reply. It would be interesting to get your feedback on either of them.
You have my permission to read either on the air or to otherwise disseminate them. I’ll even waive my normal copyright fee! Hopefully the letters will amuse you as much as they did me, but admittedly, I am pretty easy to amuse.
I am nearly done with baby step one! If you felt like it you could send me like 30k and I could jump a few steps. No? Then how about an autographed photo of a book or something? Either would go a long way towards amusing me.

1 Originally this letter used my home address, but I stopped giving this out after I won the lottery.
Calling all psycho friends stories!!!! You know that friend or frienemy? We all have one person that went cray-cray on us a time or two or three (and for some of us lucky people even more than that). I want you to tell me your story about a friend who turned crazy because I am filming a series with fellow humor blogger and twitter celeb- D.J. Paris of Thoughts From Paris. We have been discussing how we can meld our funnies together for a long time now and one of the first “thoughts” we had were “guydlines” for dealing with…
Funny relationship stories come in many creative forms and I am a bit of a whiz at relating most parts of my life back to funny relationship stories. Recently, I was asked by a fellow blogger to write a guest post about being a “sporty chick” and how it relates to my life today. Well, I give funny relationship advice and write about funny relationship stories, but here is a post all about funny life experiences. Of course, I have to relate all of my “sportiness” back to funny relationship stories and what would my post be if it weren’t a bit snarky? So, in case you missed this on Coach Daddy blog last week, here is a little more about moi and why I am the way I am. Bonus: Coach Daddy is going to give us a reaction to my answers next week! Can’t wait for that guest post.
Just a bit of fun, not intended to be snarky in regards to how they've aged. I've been posting a few vintage pictures of our favorite celebrities on my Facebook fan page and they always go down a treat! So here's an entire post of them … Milla Jovovich Steve Martin Kim Basinger [...]
I’ve never eaten in one of your stores, but then I’ve never really had a reason to until recently! Yesterday I heard tell of a thing called a “quesarito” and this gave me pause. It was describes as a quesadilla wrapped around a burrito. Two layers of tortillas with cheese between them surrounding the contents of a burrito! It would take unicorn meat to make this thing sound any more perfect. (I am salivating as I write this!)
Time flies! Welcome to Guydline post #69 -lets hope this is a lucky number for us all! Seriously, it feels like I just pulled into Scottsdale, Arizona and I am leaving tomorrow to drive back to LA. These past 5 days flew by but not to worry because I will be back soon-really soon. I am going to change things up a little and get rid of all that trash I told you all about in my B-day post. Happy to share that I am keeping my Birthday present to myself and it will be the BEST present ever...
It is pre-Oscar week and in Hollywood that means there is a lot going on. A lot meaning way more than what is going on in my love life, which is nothing unless you count that atrocious date, I went on last week. I have totally exhausted all of my patience with the men via online dating sites and have left the pleasure of interacting with these gems to my mother who doesn’t mind talking to unsuspecting guys in hopes of finding a diamond in the rough. Well, she has not done badly until last week. But, in all honesty…
