Clean Water Coin: Rethinking Charity

Clean Water Coin: Rethinking Charity | Fundraising | Scoop.it
The Clean Water Coin Initiative is the first ever coin designed and developed to be a nonprofit organization. What does that mean? We are a registered Nonprofit Organization and we’ve created a Crypto Charity and coin that lets a community actively participate in helping provide clean water. To do that we've teamed up with CharityWater.org so that we can create campaigns and raise funds for clean water projects. Also, the community can easily track exactly how we are doing by visiting our campaign page.

Really interesting that the blurp from the agency talks of ' to further distance Save the Children from the cliches commonly associated with DRTV' - yet the ad does exactly the opposite - Id even suggest its a step back in the simplistic and dependency fame  it adopts

Giving to charity: Why do we donate more money to individuals when they are members of a group?

Giving to charity: Why do we donate more money to individuals when they are members of a group? | Fundraising | Scoop.it

When charity recipients seem to belong to a cohesive group, donors will make stronger judgments about the victims, which leads to greater concern and increased donations if these judgments are positive.

Powerful Ads: Lottery of Life (4 total)

Powerful Ads: Lottery of Life (4 total) | Fundraising | Scoop.it

Sometimes it takes powerful imagery like this to make us appreciate our lot in life. Called Lottery of Life, the side-by-side comparisons are for Save the Children, an independent organization about creating lasting change in the lives of children in need. When disaster strikes around the world, Save the Children is there to save lives with food, medical care and education and remains to help communities rebuild through long-term recovery programs.

How To Structure Your Fundraising Story

How To Structure Your Fundraising Story | Fundraising | Scoop.it

In writing fiction, there is a technique known as the ‘story spine’ that outlines the various components and flow of a typical narrative arch. Over the years, I developed the following ‘fundraising project story spine’ to help gather information needed to create these snapshot-style overviews.

Love this simple, direct and very helpful article on how to structure a fundraising story! This applies to both nonprofits, and to businesses seeking to raise cash.

Thanks Gregg Morris for sharing this article.
