Monica MIRZA's curator insight, February 26, 8:56 AM

Updated on 26 Feb., 2014

- - - - - - - - - - -

I've just thought of asking every student to reorder the verbs in this chart (one page only -otherwise they might get lost), according to what they think is their own personal frequency of use. Then, they should create a sentence for the 5 most/least used ones : first they'd choose a topic, so that they might relate the 10 sentences with each other to create a (very) short story. Hmm... hope I'm being plain enough. Shall possibly refine the exercise instructions later on.

Time Clauses - ENGAMES

Time Clauses - ENGAMES | Fun Lessons for Teaching English | Scoop.it
In time clauses it is important to understand that you cannot use WILL after certain conjunctions, even though you are referring to the future. And that is the whole trick. If you do this (not will do this), your English will be fine.

Lots of ideas to start from, for both teachers and students.

Lou Salza's curator insight, March 6, 12:44 PM

Awesome site! robust tools! These graphic outlines provide  practice in two important skills for students with language or organizational challenges. First the organizers provide an external structured process and product for students with a need to break complex composition and communication tasks down into smaller steps. Second--as students use these outlines, they become 'internalized' --a cognitive tool equipping them with a ready made schema that increases comprehension of what they hear and read. --Lou
