This makes no sense.

If he just defragged, then saving the file would have no effect on the fragmentation status of the drive. It would save the file in contiguous blocks and move right along...

I guess that's where Geeks and Nerds differ: Nerds invent technology, while Geeks like technology but fail to understand it.
