Having fun with dogs can find you uncovering some interesting sports events. If you haven't been paying attention, the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail sees teams of people and their dogs attend from hundreds of miles away to participate or watch the DockDog Big Air Event where dogs race off from astro turf in hot pursuit of their toy before they drop into a pool. The distance from the dock to where they land is the measure for a win.


There are 10,000 active teams on three continents that attempt to qualify for the World games. Have a high energy dog? There may be amateur games available near you!

I love nose work =) It's so much fun to see your dog come alive, be fully himself, using his high functioning sense of smell to find the target scent in this game!


This is an easy, very inexpensive game to play with your dog and would be a really nice break in the tedium of this persistent heat wave without requiring you to break a sweat tossing that ball into the pool or the dog to get over-heated!
