Why Photographers Love the Fujifilm X-T10 | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

Wrapping image quality and flexible manual settings into a light, ergonomic package, the Fujifilm X-Pro1 Mirrorless Digital Camera was released to great reviews in 2012. Just two years later, the X-T1 followed in its footsteps, adding phase-detect autofocus sensors designed for action shots, a highly magnified electronic viewfinder and many othersouped-up goodies.

Fuji X-T1 focus peaking old station shoot

Fuji X-T1 focus peaking old station shoot | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

The location was an old railway station built in the early 1900's that was used by the steam driven trains of the day, which is now used as a working museum to steam railways.

I used two Fuji X-T1's for the shoot, one fitted with the 35mm f1.4, used for this shot, and the kit 15 - 88mm f2.8 - 4 lens mounted on the other Fuji X-T1.

Is the Fujifilm X system ready for motorsport? | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
Recently we were lucky enough to spend some time with four professional motorsport photographers at the 6 Hours of Fuji event at the Fuji Speedway in Japan. All four of these guys have been shooting with Fujifilm X series cameras and lenses as their main systems for a varying number of years so we asked them about their experiences.

If you are thinking about making the switch and are not sure if the system is ready yet, check out these videos below!

First Impressions: Fujifilm 35mm f2 R WR (Fujifilm X Mount)

First Impressions: Fujifilm 35mm f2 R WR (Fujifilm X Mount) | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

There’s apparently been a lot of confusion here; Fujifilm, who recently announced their 35mm f2 R WR lens also still keeps the 35mm f1.4 X in their lineup. To date, that lens is still my favorite that the company has delivered to the market thus far–but the new 35mm f2 is not its replacement. Instead, the f2 version is designed to live alongside it but offers weather sealing, a slightly smaller size, and what is by far the most absolute silent autofocusing I’ve ever not heard during a review period.

Mirrorless Reflections

Mirrorless Reflections | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

This is not a gear blog. When the gear matters to the creative output, however, it's time to write a gear post.

Such is the case when it comes to fashion photography. We've previously discussed the preliminary thinking that goes into a fashion shoot, but once the photographer and the designer understand the creative vision, it's time for the photographer to implement it through the magic ingredients of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.

....

The story is very different on the street, with only available light. Shooting fashion on the street is an order of magnitude harder than studio photography, but the images can be so much more engaging.

hpc's insight:

I'm going to want to take the opportunity today to say something about the city and like then also to my equipment. This then consisted of the Fujifilm X-E2 in combination with the Xf 10-24mm and the 27mm F2.8 Xf. For the first two I have said in the past a lot, so I would like to tell something about the 27mm XF times. But first to the city ...

Fujifilm TCL-X100 Review

Fujifilm TCL-X100 Review | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
I've been photographing weddings all over the world since 1999, shooting with Fujifilm X-Series cameras for 3 years. I switched completely from a Nikon DSLR system cold turkey in December of 2012. My first Fujifilm camera was the X-Pro1, but it was actually the original X100 that caught my eye as soon as I saw it gleaming beautifully from the camera shop case.

As a professional photographer, I am always trying to have the best tools to make my work easier, but also to improve my personal experience in terms of usability. It is not worth it to own a high speed and amazingly sharp telephoto zoom lens if this weights too much to carry on with you. That’s the main reason behind acquiring a Fujifilm X100S.

I never thought this would happen. But it did. And I'm pretty sure it's the step I should have taken a bit earlier: I returned to a dSLR. Yes. A big chunk of electronics, an old-fashioned camera with a mirror, the one you had before you went mirrorless.

WHY?

Which Lenses We Use And When

Which Lenses We Use And When | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
It was our first encounter with the original Fuji X100 back in 2011 that triggered a major shift in our approach to photography and prompted our adventure with the X-series cameras. For the last few years we have been shooting exclusively with the X-series. After the X100 it was the X-Pro1, X-E1, X100S/T and finally the X-T1. Of course, there is a plethora of reasons why we like working with Fuji cameras and you will find them all in other articles on this blog.
