Using Iridient Developer with Lightroom for Fuji X-Trans Files

Using Iridient Developer with Lightroom for Fuji X-Trans Files | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it
n my continual quest to get the best from my little Fuji XE-1, I’ve been trying lots of different options. I recently posted some sharpening settings for Lightroom that I felt improved the quality of Lightroom’s weird processing of the fuji raw files. I had mentioned in that post that I was also trying our Iridient Developer, which lots of people have been raving about recently for its ability to get good results with files from Fuji’s x series cameras. I was expecting to be underwhelmed, but I wasn’t. In fact I was blown away by the quality.

Ken Rockwell's Photography Updates : 11 July 2014, Friday Got your X100S Yet?

The colors and sharpness and dead-on fast focus and everything about my X100S never cease to amaze me, and the X100S and superior 23mm f/2 ASPH combo sell for less than most bodies or cameras alone. If you don't have yours yet, you need to get one and carry it everywhere.

Same lens different purpose? X100s vs. 23mm F1.4 | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it
This topic has popped up a few times on the web so I thought I’d give my two cents.

The X100s
I’ve had the pleasure of using the X100s for a year now and I have to say I am completely smitten with it....

23mm F1.4

This relatively large lens is an impressive piece of kit that when attached with an X-T1 it’s like an X100s on steroids (not so much with the X-Pro1 pictured above). ...

Naturally lit portraits in the cellar with the Fuji X-T1 / prophotonut | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it
This video shows how I make portraits even in gloomy, low lit spaces using the Fujifilm X-T1 camera, the XF 23mm f/1.4 and XF 56mm f/1.2 lenses. This is the fourth of five videos commissioned by Fujifilm showing how I make beautifully simple portraits. All the 5 Fujifilm chapters are just part of my latest 18 chapter production called ILLUMINATION. This all new lavish, …

Chester – Street Photography Escape From the City . . . | Street Photography Blog | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

On the same weekend as the Manchester visit, I took the opportunity of spending a day with the Fuji X-E1 & XF35 f/1.4, perusing the classic streets of my ideal destination, Chester. The sun was out in force and the streets were awash with shoppers, tourists and local folk just soaking up the atmosphere and culture. 250 years ago, Chester was seen as an escape from the more industrial neighbouring cities such as Manchester and that still remains true, even to this day.

This is a comparison between the FUJINON XF 10-24mm f/4 ultra-wide to wide angle zoom lens, and the primes that fall within its focal range / fuji vs fuji | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

Since I made the jump from DSLR to mirrorless, I had been waiting for the lens that would fill the void left by my 14-24mm ultra-wide to wide angle zoom. It was on the roadmap, but months away, and Fujifilm didn’t have a prime that that got even close to a 14mm full frame equivalent. 3rd party offerings like Zeiss’s Touit 12mm got us closer, but still not quite to the width I was used to, and its sharpness had been called into question.

The Fuji TCL-X100 is the new teleconverter for x100s (and x100 as well). It simply converts your x100s from a 35mm to a 50mm camera. I had read quite few reviews before deciding to buy one, in the end I love the documentary feeling of the 35mm.

Fujifilm X-T1 Real World Review / fstoplounge - Mathew Maddock | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

I have had the X-T1 for a while now since my first impressions went up about it, it is time to sit down and write-up a proper full review of how I’ve used it over the past few months.  Over that time I’ve played with it, I’ve travelled with it and I’ve used it for professional work and shot everything that I’d normally shoot with it from casual family time to professional interior room shoots with full lighting.  That all gives me a fairly broad view to judge the X-T1 on its performance as an all-rounder.  This is my Fujifilm X-T1 review from the real-world as I’ve used it.

qimago Fujifilm + Zeiss = Vancouver /Kanada / Mehrdad Abedi - qimago | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

hpc's insight:

One day before it went for me to Vancouver, a large package arrived for me at home. Sincerely, Carl Zeiss Lenses. Here I had already written something about it. In addition to my x-pro1 and three Zeiss lenses I still took the Fujifilm X-t1 my wife with. Actually, they are very reluctant to this out of hand, even for me, but this time she must have pity on me? Anyway, I accepted the offer with thanks. All images, so that you see in this post are either with the x-pro1 , or x-t1 emerged. And I actually used the 12mm Zeiss only on the x-t1. I do not know if it was the Zeiss with his really great shooting angle or the really great x-t1, but most photos were taken with the 12mm. What do I think of exactly the Zeiss Lingen, but comes another time. Today, the city of Vancouver should be my topic.

Fuji's 55-200mm F/3.5-4.8 R LM OIS, The Standard for Variable Aperture Zooms / slrlounge | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

I have had the wonderful opportunity to give the Fuji 55-200mm F/3.5-4.8 along with the Fuji X-T1 a try over the last month or so. Today, I am here to share my final thoughts and review on the 55-200mm lens. The original reason that I requested this lens along with the X-T1 was that it was what I considered to be the best Fuji telephoto zoom option (based on specs) available, and given that a lot of what I shoot is sports, I needed something that would allow for that.

Street Photographer and StreetHunters.net Reader, Buru Llwyd, writes a guest blog post about his experience with the Fuji X100s, Ricoh GR and Leica Monochrom.

Although I’m a very shy person, and into street/documentary photography, I always try to force myself into taking the photos that I’d like to get. There’s no other way around it. Also I feel the need to use flash because of the preferred dynamic look I’d like to get. It’s quite surprising sometimes how people in general don’t seem to mind or are that bothered or even don’t notice at all. I’ve had plenty of people question and debate this type of photography on the street and within my circle of friends, but at the end of it, there is no law against it. A little confidence goes a long way...
