Fuji X-E2 - Amazing Quality!

Fuji X-E2 - Amazing Quality! | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

I have a X100s that I use for most of my walk around work, it is just so tiny and generates amazing images.  So when Fuji announced the X-E2 with the same sensor and with even more upgrades I ordered one from Amazon.  Much to my amazement it shipped a week later!  I have had it in hand now for about 2 weeks and just yesterday took it out to a local fishing port for a bit of creative work.  I love the upgrades and how fast this camera is.  It even passes the X100s in ability.  I originally purchased the X-E1 in order to take advantage of its electronic remote shutter release.  It enables me to hook it up to devices like a lightning trigger and my water drop collision system.  The X-E1 did a great job with these devices and I expect no less with the X-E2 but that is for another day.

Iridient X-Transformer: A Really Interesting New Product from the Creator of Iridient Developer | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

The creator of Iridient Developer has just released a public beta of a new product. It’s the company’s first Windows application, but it’s not a full version of Iridient Developer. Instead, it’s something that I think is even more interesting. He’s created a DNG Converter specifically for Fuji X-Trans files.

I remember when the first Fujifilm X-series with interchangeable lenses was introduced, the X-Pro1; it came with three prime lenses and it was well received by the photography community and those prime lenses created quite a buzz.  Prime lenses are known to be fast and sharp but so is the price, it’s so sharp it hurts!  However, thanks to companies like Samyang, you won’t have to empty your savings or use your kid’s college fund to afford a fast prime. …

Feisty upstart: Hands-on with the Fujifilm X-T20

A great looking camera
Our first impression of the X-T20: 'that's going to generate a lot of comments.' And there's one simple reason for that: the X-T20 is an awful lot of X-T2 for a lot less money.

This probably shouldn't be a surprise: the X-T20 has the same relationship to the X-T2 as the X-T10 did to the X-T1. The only difference is how quickly the smaller camera has followed on its big brother's heels.

The sixteen month gap between the launch of the X-T1 and X-T10 softened the blow of Fujifilm offering much of the T1's spec at a lower price. But X-T2 owners are likely to flinch slightly at the sight of a camera with such similar spec announced only four months after the T2 hit the shelves, and the knowledge that it'll be another month before anyone can get hold of one is unlikely to ameliorate the sting.

Experimental Capture One 10 Sharpening Settings for X-Trans

Experimental Capture One 10 Sharpening Settings for X-Trans | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

When Capture One 10 was announced just before Christmas, I was very excited by the initial results that I saw with X-Pro 2 files, but I’ve realised now that my enthusiasm may have been over-rated. Since that time, I’ve been trying to lock down some base settings to use as the basis for some recommendations for my guide and to be honest I’ve had difficulty coming up with results that work for everything. It’s been a process of discovery, and I've learned some interesting things along the way. I’ve come up with some experimental settings, and I wanted to put them out there for people to try.

An Interview with Cartier-Bresson on the X-Pro2

An Interview with Cartier-Bresson on the X-Pro2 | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

I’ve had my X-Pro2 for close to two months. During that time, it’s traveled more than 9,000 miles with me, through sunny days and rain, to dimly lit interiors and fast-paced street-fashion. After putting this camera through some serious paces, I believe Fuji may have finally brought us back full circle to the design and approach started by Leica. To check that feeling, I decided to touch base with someone who ought to know: Henri Cartier-Bresson.
