I'm not sure if I need the Fuji 55-200mm lens, obviously I'd love to have it, I just can't afford all the things I want. But I'll definitely get the new 56mm 1.2 lens once it comes out. Meanwhile we are all waiting for it there are plenty of old lenses with similar or longer focal lengths to play with. My choices of vintage glasses are the Helios 58mm f2.0 and the Tokina 135mm f2.8 M42 screw mount lenses.

Back to the Future – from the X100F to X100

Back to the Future – from the X100F to X100 | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
In recent posts we shared our thoughts and imagery shot exclusively with the brand new X100F. There is no question that the X100F is a major update to the last iteration, the X100T. In fact, we like the X100F so much we ordered the camera for ourselves.

When working on our review of the X100F (you can read it here) we had a chance to shoot all previous generations of this camera. It was just at that point, when I was holding the original X100 in my hands, that I got sentimental. Looking back I realized that  the original X100 was a truly revolutionary product for so many reasons.

Maxmax Launches Monochrome Fujifilm X-Pro1 and X100S | Fstoppers

In 2012, Leica created a stir in the photographic industry with the release of its Leica M Monochrom. Half of the Internet was up in arms about the ridiculousness of the concept (and, of course, the price tag), while the other half praised Leica for its bold move in the modern market of high-contrast, over-saturated camera phone images. With names like "poor man's Leica" and "the new Leica" being thrown around Fuji forums all over the Internet, the question was put to Fuji asking if they would consider a monochrome-only version of one of their cameras.

Review: Fujifilm X-T2 - Admiring Light

Fujifilm, after having been stuck with more or less the same sensor for around 4 years, has been updating their rather robust lineup with the new 24 Megapixel X-Trans III sensor.  First up was last winter’s long-awaited X-Pro2, and then this past summer, Fuji moved to update their extremely popular X-T1 with the new X-T2. It’s been out a little while, but I finally got a chance to run the X-T2 through its paces, and I have to say: Fuji’s got a winner on their hands yet again. Let’s dive in to the details.

My love with Fujifilm X cameras

As a professional photographer I used and still use lots of Canon gear, but somewhere in 201o at the Cologne Photokina I was first introduced with Fujifilm Digital Cameras.
My first Fujifilm camera was the original and very trendy Fujifilm Finepix X100. A rangefinder style camera with some unique features. Perfect for street photography and candids.
It had its quircks but opened a new perspective on photography for me. My love for the X-series started right then!

I recently came across a fascinating article “Why Street Photography Matters in 2017” by Temoor Iqbal. I agree with many points raised in his piece. With everyone having access to a camera and the street “the result is an absolute mire of dreadful, samey images—endless medium-distance shots of people walking, endless portraits of buskers, and…
