Fuji X-E2 - Amazing Quality!

Fuji X-E2 - Amazing Quality! | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

I moved to Fuji after a long search for a small light weight camera system after loosing 80% use of both hands and arms.  I went through ALL of the micro 4/3 systems (and even kept 2!).  I sold $40,000 in Canon bodies and L glass and have NEVER looked back!

Fuji X100T - Street Photography

Fuji X100T - Street Photography | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

I’ve had the Fuji X100t for a number of months now and have shot several hundred images with the camera. The reasons I bought the camera were because I wanted to work with a fixed focal length and I wanted to have a light and compact camera. I know I could have put a prime lens on the Nikon D7000, but I really wanted to get something more street friendly.

Mirrorless Cameras - Everything You Wanted to Know

Mirrorless Cameras - Everything You Wanted to Know | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
Last fall I finally took the plunge and invested in a Fuji X-T1 mirrorless camera system. I did a lot of research online, asked anyone I knew that had one already, and I was still on the fence for over a year.

Milky Way Hyperlapse, over Fort Clinch Pier, Amelia Island, Florida

Milky Way Hyperlapse, over Fort Clinch Pier, Amelia Island, Florida | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
This is a 45 minute hyperlapse from one of the most awe inspiring night scenes I’ve ever seen. I took this at Fort Clinch Pier, Amelia Island, Florida.  I’ll officially be a citizen of this beautiful community next month, and I can’t wait to take many more ‘lapses like this. I originally intended only to make a star trails photo, which I did, but recently I remember watching as I scrolled through the previews on the back of the camera, and thinking how cool it looked when animated.

Testing out the TCL-X100 Tele-Conversion Lens for Fujifilm X100/X100S

Testing out the TCL-X100 Tele-Conversion Lens for Fujifilm X100/X100S | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
When I first read about the forthcoming Tele-Conversion Lens for X100/X100S, being a very keen user and huge fan of the Fujifilm X100S, I was really looking forward to getting my hands on it and seeing what it can do.

I’ve used the WCL-X100 quite a bit and really love the results. Personally I can’t see any difference in the image quality and I’ve found those extra few millimetres can make all the difference when taking a few steps backwards is not an option.

Assuming the same could be said for the TCL-X100, I knew we’d have a product that will be highly regarded by the X100 community – you know who you are!

Summer 2015 | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

ne last week and summer 2015 will be over as far as I'm concerned. Although I had both the X100T and the X-T1 camera bodies with me all the time I used the latter 9 times out of 10 (with the XF16-55mm lens). Mainly because of their weather sealed feature.

The Fuji XF 27mm Lens - Lets Do Pancakes

The Fuji XF 27mm Lens - Lets Do Pancakes | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
Anyone who knows me will tell you I’m always up for getting a little bite to eat but this post is not about those kind of pancakes.  The Fuji XF 27mm pancake lens is a small compact lens and is designed for general purpose photography. Fuji eliminated the aperture ring to make this lens more compact so if you are a purist like me who likes an aperture ring it takes some getting used to using the rear control wheel on the camera to adjust this setting. In my opinion this lens also excels in street photography.

Best Fuji X-T1 Memory Cards & UHS-II Speed Tests

Best Fuji X-T1 Memory Cards & UHS-II Speed Tests | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

Currently the Fujifim X-T1 is one of the only cameras that can take advantage of the UHS-II memory cards. As a result of this I've ordered several of the most popular UHS-II memory cards and have included them in the Fuji X-T1 memory card speed test.

Evolutions of Photography Gear with Kate Warren of GoKateShoot - Random Nerds

When I’m not on assignment, I’m still “on” with a camera in hand, looking for interesting people, ironic tableaus or late-day light that leaves me swooning no matter what the subject. When shopping for an everyday camera, I opted for something small but stylish, with uncompromising image quality. Having a camera all the time makes sure you aren’t missing any crazy moments.

Fuji X-T1 Reviewed and purchased

Fuji X-T1 Reviewed and purchased | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

contacted Fuji regarding loan units but all the loan units were out with other photographers.  And here’s the brave bit.  I jumped straight in and traded my tried, tested and trustworthy Canon 1DX there and then for the new Fuji X-T1, together with the 56mm f1.2 and 23mm F1.4 lenses.

Fuji vs Nashville…… | Bill Fortney

Fuji vs Nashville…… | Bill Fortney | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

’ve been in Nashville, Tennessee all week with our Third Annual Nashville/Ricky Skaggs Americana Workshop.  Country Music/Bluegrass Legend (14 rimes Grammy Winner!) Ricky Skaggs is also an accomplished photographer and good friend and he and I, plus Jim Begley and John “Snake” Barrett, and Nick Coury, run this annual workshop during Nashville’s Bluegrass Month.  While we have been shooting the many fantastic locations around Nashville, I’ve been giving the X-System lenses a workout and thought I might share some of the images from this weeks shoot! Tonight the entire group will go to Ricky and Kentucky Thunders concert at the Historic Ryman Theatre, images from that tomorrow! At Marathon Motorworks we always shoot the decorative tool door at the Motor works offices. Fuji X-T1 with the 16-55......

Personalise Your X-Series Camera Settings To Shoot The Way You Want by Leigh Diprose

Personalise Your X-Series Camera Settings To Shoot The Way You Want by Leigh Diprose | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
A few years ago when you first purchased a camera, inserted the battery and turned it on there was a learning curve that would take place to figure out where all of the buttons were located and what each one did. These days instead of learning the camera you can actually teach the camera. That's certainly the case when it comes to the Fujifilm X-T1, X100T or the newer X-T10 (as well as various other X-Series cameras).

Jim Gamblin

Jim Gamblin | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

It has been longer in between posts then I had thought it would be.  Some of the blame for this can be attributed to the Fujinon 56mm f/1.2 lens.  The idea of a comparison between two legacy 135mm lenses was pushed to the side by the 56.  If that wasn’t enough then the prospect of (finally) the release of the long awaited 90mm, really halted that 135 comparison.

Strobists delight: the leaf shutter advantage of the Fuji X100s - Mike Kobal

Strobists delight: the leaf shutter advantage of the Fuji X100s - Mike Kobal | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
The innovative 4 bladed leaf shutter in the Fujifilm x100s has two major advantages over focal plane shutters, silent, almost inaudible operation for candid photography and flash sync at all shutter speeds. Today I will share tips on how to use professional grade strobes to achieve stunning lighting in challenging and bright outdoor scenarios, what to watch out for during shoots and a list of suitable strobes I came across during my search for a powerful yet light weight and reasonably priced flash system to use with my X100s.
