Fuji X-E2 - Amazing Quality!

Fuji X-E2 - Amazing Quality! | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

I moved to Fuji after a long search for a small light weight camera system after loosing 80% use of both hands and arms.  I went through ALL of the micro 4/3 systems (and even kept 2!).  I sold $40,000 in Canon bodies and L glass and have NEVER looked back!

The Mirrorless Debate / Alien Skin Software | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it
Thinking of changing over to a mirrorless rig? Read the opinions of some of the top pros in the industry before you take the plunge.

We’ve all heard different opinions about the fancy new mirrorless camera systems available today. Some photographers have made the change while others don’t think it wise. I asked a bunch of Alien Skin’s photographer friends to share their thoughts about adopting a mirrorless rig as their main camera. Their responses have really helped solidify my now undying desire to own one. Thanks for spending my money, guys! ;-P

Using the Manfrotto 241V and Fujifilm X-T1 on a Car Photo Shoot / MACLEAN PHOTOGRAPHIC | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

The reason I bought the Manfrotto 241V was to use on this long drive to get some different angles while I drove.  Using the Fujifilm X-T1 I was able to control the camera through the Camera App on my Google Nexus Tablet.

Inside Derren Hodson's Camera bag! / streethunters | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it
Photography is my hobby, I’m not a creative person, I fix things so i like things to work. My camera bags reflect this, i have two (well actually a lot of them) but two for this photo. One is my “carry all” for when I’m going out on a days shoot, the second is my “carry light” for when I get chance to take a few shots when I’m on lunch…..or with the Wife! My camera gear changes fairly frequently, not because i have G.A.S, but because I am highly critical of them as they are a tool and should do as you command, not….having to live with the ‘quirks’.

Ocean images on a mirrorless trip - part 2 / About Photography

Ocean images on a mirrorless trip - part 2 / About Photography | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

I have been experimenting with three different camera outfits on this two week trip -- a Fuji X-T1, Leica M (240), and the new Sony RX100 III. If you measure the winning system by amount of usage, then the Fuji X-T1 is winning, followed by the RX100, which I always have tucked into a pocket for grab shots. The Leica M delivers really excellent images, but the constant lens switching and a 135mm cap on my telephoto option has caused me to forsake it for the convenience of the Fuji X-T1.

Review : The Fujifilm XT-1 PART I / leighmiller | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it
A basic user review of the Fuji XT-1 Camera

After a short rest I have finally got my user review of the Fujifilm XT-1 under-way. I apologize to all the people who have emailed me for my thoughts on the camera. It's been a perfect storm...pardon the pun. Busy work schedule combined with the weird weather, the lighting hasn't exactly been attractive for any shutter therapy. It's clear skies for a day or two, quickly followed by haze and rain. I took it with me to The Bahamas where I figured I could take the weather variable out of the equation.

Bye bye NIKON, Hello FUJIFILM ! / Björn Moerman

Bye bye NIKON, Hello FUJIFILM ! / Björn Moerman | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it
It was US based photographer Zack Arias who put the Fujifilm X-series cameras on my radar after a presentation he held for Fujfilm Middle East. The next day I decided borrow a Fujifilm X-Pro-1 with three prime lenses (18mm, 35mm and 60mm Macro) from the Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) guys in Dubai. Little did I know that this would change my photography forever!  Even though the autofocus was a bit gimmicky at times, I really enjoyed the three days with the X-Pro1. So much, that I bought a brand new Fujfilm X-E1 with the XF 18-55 lens from GPP a few weeks later.
...
X-T1 the camera that changed it all!
When Fujifilm announced their new top of the line X-T1 in January 2014, their two main selling points were "weather-sealing" and an "enhanced auto-focus system" which included the focus tracking system which I was lurking after.

Summer Fair with the X-T1 and 23mm 1.4 / mike croshaw | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

Every year the primary school where my children go has a fund raising summer fair. It’s usually good fun but hard work as a parent as you’re having to keep track of the kids. So I took just the one camera and lens this year. I would normally have gone for the 35mm 1.4, but I’ve not had much practice with the 23mm so I wanted to see how it did. It’s very sharp and very fast, I was hugely impressed with it. A few photos of my kids below from our family weekend.

Do Nikon and Canon still have the major monopoly as camera manufacturers? The D800 was, as most people know, just wonderful to use, but is there another way ?

For this shoot I wanted to try something a little bit different.  Anyone who knows me will know that I also have a Fuji X-Pro1 at my disposal and also I have a Sigma SD1 Merrill.

Fuji X-T1 Review / ALESSIO MICHELINI - Musicphotographer.eu

Fuji X-T1 Review / ALESSIO MICHELINI - Musicphotographer.eu | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

A month ago I posted an article regarding my impression of the Fujifilm X-T1 as a viable camera for music photographers, so some of you are probably going to think “why he’s doing a second review on the same camera?”. Well, since I got that camera in my hands, I had two questions in my mind. The first one was to know if that camera could  potentially replace my DSLR for live music photography, and the second was to see how this camera is good for general shooting, so that’s why I want to make two articles, because the first one was specifically driven by the first question, if that was a good camera for music photographers, a very specific field of use, while this article I’m going to show if this camera is a good camera for the average Joe.

First Look at the Fuji XF 18-135mm Weather Sealed Lens / Dan Bailey | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

Last month, Fujifilm introduced the brand new Weather Sealed XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS WR lens. It’s the first of their lenses to feature weather resistant construction, which is designed to keep out rain, dust, and water splashes when you’re shooting out in the environment. In other words, the outdoors. You know, when it’s not sunny. We all know that’s when the best pictures often happen.

Photographing the Tour De France with the Fujifilm X-Pro1 / ROB JOHNS

Photographing the Tour De France with the Fujifilm X-Pro1 / ROB JOHNS | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

The Tour De France came to London on Monday 07 July for the third stage of the gruelling 3500 km (2200 mile) race. The riders were due to go right past the Shadwell Centre in Tower Hamlets, London where I teach Photography, so how could I resist?

I had my Fuji gear with me and I know the X-Pro1 is not a sports camera so trying to shoot a typical sports picture was simply pointless. I’m not saying that the X-Pro1 can’t capture action, it can and does so very well. I’ve managed to capture the decisive moment so many times Cartier-Bessson would be proud, but the fact is the X-Pro1 is not built for the demands that sports photography requires. There is a difference!

London though this was so good, per usual the Fuji X-Pro was along for the trip, seems he loved it too snapping away stealth when it needed to be and workable when to going got a bit serious. The privilege of being able too snap a few shots of the magic from the press pit was something you can tick off on a bucket list. Fighting the Canon boys who were looking for the stock shots for the press is all good I just wanted the feel the blues of it all. The 35mm and an old 50mm canon FD where all I had so you think differently, then throw the ISO up too 800 and let the Fuji tells story...

First Event DSLR Free / matthewhartphotography | Fujifilm X Serie APS C sensor cameras | Scoop.it

I was worn out after two days shooting at Africa Oye 2013! If you have never shot an event believe me two or three days shooting all day with a heavy DSLR body takes its toll on your back and shoulders. I had been exploring the Fuji option for a while but felt I could not give up my D3s and 300mm f/2.8 !

But as most of you know from my previous posts I did give up my D3s last year at the end of the festival season. I went over to Fuji from Nikon and then spent the rest of the year shooting Fuji but in the back of my mind I was worried about the festival season.
