Excellent lens! Equivalent 42mm ( 35mm format ) i actually like this focal range quite a lot, for me it just seems to work with my style of shooting. This lens is sharp wide open at F2 with a slight touch of softness. Fantastic performance on the X-Pro 1. Very good correction of aberrations without light falloff also wide open. Between f2.8 and 5.6 the optical quality is absolutely fantastic. A complex floating lens elements design. Nice bokeh wide open at F2-5.6. The 28mm F2 Minolta MD has great mechanical construction as with other Minolta lenses of this era. This lens is a gem. Hard to find on the used market, get it if you can. The lens balances well but a tiny bit front heavy on the X-Pro 1 but nothing to be concerned about, would be fantastic with the optional grip which will add some extra weight though not in the territory of DSLR’s with comparable focal length. As can be seen on the photo above, its a bit long compared to other Minolta 28mm lenses, its an absolute joy to use, nice smooth rubberized focus grip. Aperture ring has half stops as well…

My Fuji X-Pro2, X-E2 Wish List | CamCrunch

My Fuji X-Pro2, X-E2 Wish List | CamCrunch | Fuji X-Pro1 | Scoop.it

I’ve had the Fuji X-E1 for a little over a week now and thought I love the Fuji X system, there are things that I’m not 100% happy with and would like to see an improvement to in their next iterations. Here is my Fuji X-Pro2 and X-E2 wish list.

Phase Detection Autofocus on the Fuji X-Pro2 and X-E2

With the announcement of the Fuji X100s, we are finally getting phase detection autofocus on Fuji X bodies. The X100s is said to be the fastest Fuji X camera to date. I’m sure that the next camera in the Fuji X-Pro series will definitely be getting phase detection, but it would be awesome to see it implemented better than that of the Fuji X100s. At the moment, the Fuji X100s only have phase detect autofocus built into the sensor on only the center autofocus point. Having phase detection built into more focus point would take the Fuji X-Pro series to the next level and bring it closer to matching semi-pro DSLR cameras.

20-24 Megapixels on the Fuji X-Pro2 and X-E2

I’m happy with the 16 megapixels of the Fuji X-E1 but having come from the Canon 5D Mark II, I miss those extra pixels and the flexibility that comes with having them. If Fuji can up their megapixel count without sacrificing dynamic range and high ISO performance, I’ll be a very happy man.

More Responsive Electronic Viewfinder on the Fuji X-Pro2 and X-E2

The Electronic viewfinder on the Fuji X-Pro1 is good as it is, and it is even better on the Fuji X-E1. Despite the already outstanding technology that is put into the electronic viewfinder technology, it hasn’t come close to matching the experience of shooting with an optical viewfinder. I’m happy with the X-E1 EVF, but any improvement on the technology behind it will be a plus.....

Please stick with your Canon. 16MP is more than enough on a APS sensor and if you think you know it all after one week, think again. Fuji, pls don't listen to this fellow.

Fuji X PRO2 to be announced soon? | Fuji Rumors | Fuji X-Pro1 | Scoop.it

Current Fuji X PRO 1 owners know well the strengths but also the quirks of the camera. And those quirks are a major problem as it seems that they can be fixed by hardware changes only. So “rumors” about a possible new X PRO 2 model are getting bigger. We heard it will be announced within the next 2-3 weeks. The camera will feature a new sensor too. We heard it will be priced above the current X PRO 1. But it has to be really good to convince me to spend more than you have to do for the X PRO1

I am in the frame for the XP1 with a 35mm (50) lens and will purchase the 23mm (35mm) when it comes out next year. I will sell my mint 5dMKII and L series lenses to make this purchase as at 69 y.o.a I want to downsize and get back to a RF style camera. Already the cost of the XP1 is more than any sane person should spend on a crop sensor camera, so a dearer XP2 will only be affordable by Leica M types. If the upgrade is to sort out the current model issues I would want it over the XP1. It's a stretch at the current price, so this would be a deal breaker for me and I would stick with what I have already got and work with that. I think Fuji could be overestimating the desire for this camera when it comes to pricing.
