In this video, we take a look at the fabulous Fujifilm X100s and ponder whether it's the best x camera around by comparing it to the XE1 and the Sony RX1...but the team don't get away without doing something rather typical of DRTV.
We put the x100s' video function to the test along the gorgeous canals of Venice, Italy. The video has been set to the music of Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons.'

English Photographer Ben Evans compares the Fuji XE1 and XPro1 cameras in Barcelona. Hand-on photography with several photographs made with the cameras during the review.
The balance is that the Fuji XE1, while lacking the hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder makes up for this with a cheaper price, upgraded EVF (electronic viewfinder), built-in flash and slightly smaller size. It was therefore the 'winner' in this little hands-on camera test.
Many thanks to Hiromi from www.HiromiTorres.com for shooting this video! If you'd like to get in touch and contribute to a microphone for her so that future tutorials and reviews sound better, she'd really appreciate it!....

Holy guacamole! Just did my first shoot with the Fuji X-Pro 1 and wow am I impressed! Thankfully, I received my copy just after Fuji released the latest firmware update which even further improves focusing. Having been an avid Fuji X100 shooter, I've grown accustomed to the quirky nature of the beast and slow focusing, however the X-Pro 1 is nimble by comparison.
I'm just getting started using this new camera system and can say that it's a pure joy. Everything about it, from the handling, to shooting, to the image quality. I haven't even begun to add flash to the mix, but lets just say that it won't be long!

This is the X-E1′s, Fuji’s latest compact system camera. It’s an addition to Fuji’s premium X range and is the second camera in the series to feature interchangeable lenses. It features the same 16 million pixel sensor, processor and lens mount as the popular X Pro1. Looking at the two cameras side by side reveals lots of similarities, but the X-E1 is smaller, partly due to the lack of the hybrid optical and electronic viewfinder found on the X Pro1. Instead, the X-E1 uses an electronic only device. While some may object to not having the option to use an optical viewfinder, in practice we’ve found that the high resolution device is more than adequate, and in fact even preferable in some cases to using the optical finder which is a part of the X Pro 1’s hybrid device. There’s no mode dial on the X-E1, instead you control various parameters via an aperture ring on the lens, shutter speed dial on the top of the camera and an exposure compensation dial here. Although there’s no “fully automatic” mode, you can get pretty close by setting both the aperture and shutter speed wheel to automatic.......

This shows what you can expect from the X-E1 in terms of optimal auto-focus speed and shot to shot performance. I uploaded it in 1080p so that you can see the stills in higher resolution and better judge the focusing abilities of the camera. We take a look at Fuji's latest "X camera" - the X-E1. It looks like the X-Pro1 because it is essentially a lightened version. Without that hybrid viewfinder, will this seemingly "8-bitified" version be as interesting a camera as they other Fuji "X cameras"?

I can still remember the first time I saw the original Fujifilm X100, it was sitting in a glass box at the 2010 Photokina. From the first second I loved the concept of the camera. It was different and seemed to be made as a real photographer’s camera. But I always found it didn’t get past the stage of being a promising prototype or an expensive fashion accessory for retro hipsters. But now Fujifilm added an “S” to the camera and with that “S” came solutions for pretty much every quirk or flaw the original X100 had. Raving reviews from people like David Hobby and Zack Arias, made me want to try the X100s out for myself. Fujifilm Belgium made one available to us and we decided to hit the streets of Brussels with a video camera in tow for a short shoot with Sofie and Saartje, the ladies behind lifestyle blog www.biensucre.com

I joined the Fujifilm X-Photographers team at the beginning of 2013 so I decided it would be great do a quick hands on review, and talk about the things I love and don't love about the Fujifilm X-E1. Although it's not the perfect camera there are a lot of things that make this camera great for users that want good photographs, retro/clean styling and a variety of lenses to invest in.

Another video of the Fuji X-E1 EVF, this time in bright sunlight. I recorded this in Florida at 2:00PM and it was a cloudless day. The EVF actually performs quite a bit better than the video would lead you to believe. After all, I am recording what amounts to a 720p display using an iPhone that records in 720p as well and doesn't have the dynamic range of the Fuji's APS-C sensor. It should still be good enough to show you that the EVF has no issues when used in bright sunlight.
