Innovation and creativity is not a logical thing. Playing, doing irrelevant activities, getting out of the office, all contribute to release the 'illogical' stuff that is under the surface. This is an interesting article, especially when looking for a change.

Crowdstorming, or soliciting ideas from crowds, is growing in popularity. At its simplest it is about looking for new ideas. however, this soon becomes unwieldy if you have to manage large amounts of data.

 

Collaboration is an improvement, but the most advanced companies are looking totally integrated systems to create multiple iterations and feedback loops.
