Occupy wallstreet was a huge protest. This is a great symbol of freedom of assembly. Many college students protested the coorpirations control of the money and the government. This protest lasted for months. Not only was it in New York, but there were protests held all over the countrie. Some places are Boston and Chicago, two major cities.

Westboro Church petition highlights group’s flaws

Westboro Babtist Church held a protest at a funeral of one of the victim's of the shooting in Newton CT. One of the members stated that the reason of the protest was "to sing praise to god for the glory of his work in executing his judgement". Many people were disgusted with this group, but can not stop them. This is because of freedom of assembly.

The government can not intervene unless it is dangering someone's well being. The freedom of assembly is part of the first ammendment.

This strike happened right here in middletown and was 11 years ago. The teachers of middletown held a strike and refused to go back to work unless they got what they wanted. Many people were put in jail just for expressing there oppinion which is part of freedom of assembly

Events in recent weeks have converged to provide much pause to the meanings of freedom of speech and freedom of information.

People in china crowd the streets and hold a protest. They are protesting censorship from the internet and google. The article states that the chinese government is scared of freedom of assembly and that the chinese people want freedom. "China employs tens of millions of workers to simply monitor posts on the Internet and censor its many newspapers." This is what the people of china don't want, and are protesting
