A Fox News smear campaign that crosses a line no human being should ever cross.
Dru Mado's insight:
I found this on a Liberal leaning site, UpWorthy. their stated foces is to publis stories tat are positive thinking, good things, thhings that are Up Worthy. Then why do they post this video? To show what evil, mean spirited, and vicious the Conservatives at Fox news are. Well if that is't what I call the pot calling the kettle black. By publishing this with its implicit editorial comment, the are doing what they decry. But being Hypocrits does not make their evedince the FOX is evil false. But an open minded viewing of the video does. The UpWorthy headline emphsizes theat Fox says Mr Rogers was an evil, Evil, man. Well, FOX news said it, one of their on air personalities did. One agreed that Mr. Rogers may have been is some waty, and unintentional, as a part of the mood of the times, MAY have had some small resposibilty for the lowering of social standards. She refused to use the word evil. All the rest did not agree that Mr Rogers was evil. And at least one viewer strenueously defended Mr Rogers is not the problem, coddeling parents are.
And even the use of the word evil is not considered in context,. This is a light hearted Infotainment program starring Personalities. They were bantering, as all personalities is such programs do. When bantering for a light hearted infotainment program, Hyperbole in banter is the norm. And UpWorthy knows this full well. True, during this clip the shwed a clip of one of their commentators, a pundit, blame Mr Robers for some current social ills. A Pundit! It is a pundits job to be cotraversial. UpWorthy knows this as well. I do not knopw, but I susbect that believes in Equal time in brodcasting. I also suppose, but do not know, that they would be glad to see the return of old FCC regulations thatrequire brodcasters demonstrate equal time for all points of view. Well, here is a different point of view!
And at the end of the day it was a Lousiana State University study that made the assertinn that Mr Rogers, as a part of a cultural mind set, that has caused detrement. Does UpWorthy think that everyone who shouts Geaux Tigers think Mr Rogers is Evil? I doubt it.
One last nail. In the midst of the Mr Rogers story, there is a bit where a female personality refers to a University of Virginia study that asserts that men inturrupt conversations at the sme rate as women. How dowes that fit the narrative that FOX is sexist pigs? It doesen't. And that's why UpWorthy does not mention it.
Now UpWorthy is free to hold any editorial position, and politics that they wish. There is a time and a place for such snarky bitterness. But is should not be posted by people who claim to be promoting the positive. What they are promoting is their political narrative. But somehow the convince them selves that this not bitter and negative, it'sFOX. Either way, they ar espreading the negativity. Shame on you UpWorthy.
